To end my criticism, the story. Its too confusing and honestly unintelligible to me. I havent played season 2, very much because i dont want to with everything ive seen so far. Sure this game is rly good in artstyle, theme, and even music, as low budget as some sound design is, but when i actually play it, there are way too many times that i need a break for a long exhale and to put my hands in my palms because... god.. no thank you. (To preface, this review will be split in two because it's too long) I feel like im the minority here, but i rly dislike this game. Alot of wierd choices exist, such as having to click, read the description, then click a second time to obtain, when it comes to obtainable objects. And then there are puzzles that i would have never ever gotten if it werent for a walkthrough; in chapter two, using the rock/net on the pipe?¿ using the teardrop on the mary statue? Good god. And then there are things that look like they would be puzzles/obtainable but arent, for instance, going further into father ernest's room, or needing the boiler/firewood in the basement for something in chapter 1. I could go on and on with these examples, mind you. Plus there are many bugs that make it seem unfinished in general. In chapter four, in the second basement area toward the end, theres a small picture type of thing at the upper left corner of the doorway, most likely left in from production. (1)

To help the people stuck at the fog part you have to first come closer to the part where the wind sounds seems closer and then click at the nearby door 2. In this part you have to look for the nearest crow sounds 3. In this one you have to look for the crashing waves 4. lastly silence and then in the 5. fog part the gentleman with red hair will greet you i hope this helped :)

if youre stuck on the mannequin, the rolled paper is to be used on the cage, check the piano and mask is to be used with the feather on the cutted tree. there is also a wig on the laughing broken mannequin...

This is the most bizarre one. I can't tell if there's actual supernatural factor in this or if it's about mental illness of some sort.
Is Devitt a part of a cult now? What is going on?

@RedHavok i honestly think thats because the story wants you to figure it out yourself. once you actually put the pieces together it actually really makes sense

every multipart game seems to have a story being made up as they go, never a unified story, or plot. They leave everything really vague so they don't have to come up with anything.

Did I just join a cult? Also, I KNEW that's what would be on the other side of the keyhole. I'm getting used to this series. So many birds...

@Pwost The guy who owned the violin asked you to place the violin next to the woman's coffin and you followed the coffin until you find its remains next to a tree. I think you should focus on the dialogue a little more instead of judging on the story itself :)

So in the end, entering that library, hell, the mausoleum was never necessary... because as soon as we got the violin all we needed to do was shove it up a tree.
It's a shame because for all its atmosphere, this game had some decent puzzles too. Puzzles that more or less made sense.
Did I miss something? Where was the hint that shoving a violin up a tree would be the right call?

There's no way I'm blindly following a mysterious man through an unknown town, I might end up in front of a scary crow/bunny/whatever! I'll explore the other rroms before. Let's see, there's a tunnel here... *dark tunnel, RATS written on the wall* ...ok, I'll blindly follow the mysterious man.
