This reminds me a lot of things I used to do for fun with only a notebook and a pencil back in grade school. The gigantic 'wall of information' people are mentioning was exactly the right size for me because of this. I did a bit of CHEATIN' to test how certain builds would work later on. Well, shame on me. I have deleted my save file since then, and swear to not do weird things to break the progression sequence. My only real issue with this game currently is that scrolling far enough down in Firefox causes the browser to hang for almost a minute before it recovers. Other than that, 5 stars!

So.... many different approaches made, but here is the long and short of it. I'm trying to get over stage 100 to unlock the evil/holy tomes. I have 1000+% reflect bonus from hero pack, and around 300-400 physical reflect. Over 4k HP, and over 10K armor, when suddently, halfway through a stage (randomly), the reflect stops working andmy HP goes from full (around 4k) to something like -20k. I just got the hero pack within a couple hours, and starting to wonder if I made the proper choice. I'm sure I did as the dev here seems to keep an eye on things and get them worked out pretty quickly.
In the case where you fall below 0 HP and are dying, reflect stops damaging (did it stop before your HP falls <0?!). If you're nearing 100 mark, you're most likely going to need a lot more than 10k armor / 4k HP to keep the reflect going for long enough to beat the stages. (shield rarity utility is a good boost to defense you might not have tried that could possibly help at minimal cost to stars)
Currently if you hit 'GO' while attacks are still flying toward you, it doesn't clear out the attacks from the previous stage, so it's possible to get hit by damage/statuses almost instantly after clicking it. (Plan on fixing this, but for now just give it a sec to settle between stages, sorry)
note 30 skill cost reduction is a flat amount (not %) so if your skills had already increased in cost a lot the change would be relatively smaller than doing 30 at once from the beginning of the game

Possibilities
A) Make mini bosses to make game easier on players and not as stressful
B) Make the levels more balanced with the boss im lvl 500 and im on floor 32
C) Make a shop button that switches from low lvl to high lvl shop

Maybe i'm misunderstanding here...
Item sell / destroy values, eg +6 to destroy, don't seem to do anything. An item I had in question always had the same destroy value. Even if you didn't break it, etc. Not too sure how to properly use that.
Those effects are a little different than most item effects. Like you say, they actually do nothing on-use, but an item with +sell value would sell for more than normal even if it's never used.
I agree, and I'm trying to improve the entry barrier in hopefully multiple ways. There's a small tutorial for the combat screen if you roll over the (?) icon near pause button. It's not much in the way of simplifying, but it might help for learning the basics.

1/5 because this game requires a FIFTY KRED purchase to unlock all of the content, and the content is GAME ALTERING, not just cosmetic. Translation: People who pay do better. Screw that.
The two modes have isolated versions in leaderboards (HERO vs hero). This can help if you're interested in seeing how well you're doing compared to other players that have the same powers as you. IMO paid cosmetics don't really fit a single-player game that has basically no art (99% of the work was code/design/balance/etc. so Kreds for art is the last thing that comes to mind) Also if you're interested, you can access some special skills for free using the higher level classes.
PS. it's also MIND ALTERING! :P

Way, way, way too many choices. Most of the skills are too intertwined and it won't make a difference if you choose either one. You can combine half of the skills in the game to reduce the bloat
I see the number of choices as a hazard for new players learning the game (and the entry is definitely rough already), but reducing the choices as a solution to that is very unlikely to happen, sorry. Any skills that are equal to others or insignificant overall I'll consider a balance issue and try remaking/rebalancing them, but combining 2 different skills into one for the sake of simplicity has a cost beyond it's benefit (in my opinion). Your complaint is valid though, and I'll try something to simplify the early stages without taking away from the end game.

There should be a PvP arena in this game, It could be a great addition and might even be a hole into some great prizes for the people who play this game most, and I would like a good challenge. Perhalps you could make it so that it isn't a permdeath when you die
maybe just A percent of your total HP goes missing? + So the dev can see this!
Unfortunately the game engine is too far gone to go multiplayer now. Although, a single-player hero vs hero arena is a possible addition for an extra game mode.

I really like this update, but I think that there's a bit of a problem with the mechanics of the game when using Condense Multifire GFX. Without that on, it's unbearably laggy very late in the game. With it on, I don't think that things are being calculated quite correctly. For example, if I lived with the lag, the spider would never have any effects fall off it. Burn being the most important one since it almost immediately heals to full past level 500. Of course I can put a lot of points into burn chance and duration, but the player is being penalized by using this option. Shock and bleed for example would also always be on the spider, but bleed has a much harder time getting on, and shock is off almost instantly.
Good catch, it seems combining the projectiles can yield over 100% chance for a status, which doesn't actually do anything against the spider's resist chance. I'll try fixing the math to accommodate status chances over 100.
Having now published the game, it seems that the change of game location (url or backend file location) has forced a new save slot from flash. As far as I know this couldn't be avoided in the transition from Beta to public. (note to any K+ testers affected: a sticky thread in forum has a guide for possible recovery of beta saves!)

Hi Dev, unfortunately there seems to be a bug @ Hero Shop, 4x Star Power (bought twice), 4x Gold Power (bought twice) and 1 Item Slot (bought once) does not work / show anything after i bought it, last time i bought them it was just after reset, first time middle of the game.. can you help?
Hi hyronimus, most likely your kong account has the upgrades in it's inventory, but the game only loads the entire inventory one time at the start. The shop is still supposed to update, but something may have gone wrong. It is possible simply refreshing the page will load your upgrades in the case that the purchases succeeded. (You may have already tried this but I thought it's worth suggesting since you are still logged in at the time of this reply) If this doesn't work please let me know.

i have a question...why are we killing the spider....? Maybe it could be because if we dont kill it fast enough it will spawn more spiders ....eggs cold hatch....moths are nice.... posibilty to focus where dmg goes etc.....great so far

I noticed that if you accidentally click on the "end run" button in the background of the shop/inventory/skills menus it will still kill you. I had a really good run that only ended because I accidentally clicked the button.

makna: it happens even before the spiders start attacking. I can die on stage 1 while buying upgrades. it sets my health to like -99999999
A bug in the current version makes the 'end run' button clickable through menu backgrounds. This will be fixed soon but for now just be careful not to click it through the BG in shop/skills/etc. (sorry!)

It would be great to not only filter out sales by item type, but also rarity. I would like to be able to say "Sell all shields, but only if they are less then Green"

lonekos: That's because you have bleed or ignite still on you, most likely coupled with burn (that deactivates your life regen)

It just seems kinda odd that the skill boosts given by higher level classes usually do not seem better than the first level counterparts... could there be something to balance this out?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Given the amount of damage numbers flying around at later stages (100+), some sort of death recap would be useful to know what killed me.

Hey Grandestine: I've noticed that the runs are getting longer and longer (GOOD!), but I don't want to spend the whole day on this game alone. After dying and generating a ghost, I notice that if I navigate away and come back later, the ghost is gone. That's BOO-SHEET! (Sorry, had to throw the pun there.) Can you encode into the save file the last ghost/run? Shouldn't be much: class/char. lv./level of defeat.
Keep up the EXCELLENT updates! I'm really enjoying myself here.
Still haven't got a good save/load for entire skill sheets yet but hoping to make one (The ghost contains all of the hero's defense/attack/magic skills from the previous run, so it needs about the same save/load as a 'continue game' feature) I'll add this to the list and come back to it once skill sheets can be saved :)

it seems all the stuff i can use acts like a skill and not much as a item im a bit confused like i found a shield but i dont under stand how it works in my skill bar or why it goes there
The generated items work very similar to normal skills/abilities in a game, so just think of them like that and not typical RPG equips and you'll probably catch on really fast. All of the passive stuff is in the hero-skills you gain from tomes, and item effects are active upon-use type things.

wouldlike if the game was a little more detaled on what everything is like what items do and what what skill effect it and i cant really tell what is magic and whats not magic
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
i think that the gold and star drop amount should scale up with each lvl/stage? I am at the point now I have to wait 3+ stages to do anything and by that time I die cause i cant get any better gear. Also I can't use the heal all or repair all equip or any of the bonus hero stuff at all.

You made/used the backups and still have no save? I'm not sure how that can happen but will try finding more info and add more to the guide if I find anything. sorry you have had so much trouble keeping a save

Lanceknightmare: Trial and error. Live and learn. Since there is no cookie-cutter way to build, experimenting is part of the fun of this game ! (at least for me)

is there penalties now for not getting as far as previous/max? because three people (myself included) have reported thier starting stars decreasing after every run. so "something" is going on.
