Abilities to place your mine car anywhere on the drop zone or anywhere on the map, and to be able to cut trees with a car saw and that first upgrade you can cut 3 trees and adds by 3s and that the trees regrow every 3 days?

The mining is nice, but the town-building is confusing and very, VERY slow. I've stuck town halls (+5 popularity/max pop, +3 growth rate, +1 cash) scattered in clusters of 3 to 5 all over the map, and I'm only getting 6-12 people per day. Seriously, I have 45 town halls with either nobody or very few people around them. Why is the population increasing so slowly?

I generally like this game, but more than a speed up button, this game could use a marker so that I can mark areas that I have determined are bad from previous bomb runs.

What do I do with the rest of the ore that ISN'T gold? Can I do stuff with it? Like build castles? To fight off the invading hordes of zombies each night? *sigh*

Once you reach 500 population, the Drop Zone building is very useful when you mine in north of the plot with powerful explosives and you can use more of them. Sadly it needs population around it so on new un-occupied plots they don't help you much :/

HOLY CRAP. Don't buy a lab too early. Or at least not before maxing out load and engine. 0_0 even with just the normal dynamite that gold is flying EVERYWHERE. It's ridiculous with C4, one of them skated all the way to the fourth plot!

I wish you could buy upgrades to make gold attract from farther away, or give you x-ray to see through your own town. I always have one or two missing nuggets I can't find and drive over everyone's huts looking for <

Should be in option or upgrade to re fill ugly holes with dirt, so your town looks nice. Also Should have flags like mine sweeper. Last, an upgrade to tell you how much gold is left in a hole. Please?

Ooooh, I see I left a large gold ore in a field ten feet away-... ... screw it, ran out of fuel. Best option is to leave the gold, abandon the truck in the field, and go to bed.

The prospector's gold signs get pretty bothersome when they scroll my screen all the way across the map and make me have to manually scroll back slowly to where I'd actually want to mine...

A warning to people: I "farmed" gold until I had over a million and then stopped mining and spent more time on my town centres. Populations were not growing in certain areas and even though I kept adding lots of buildings population eventually stagnated at 2250. The missing component was to mine gold, which attracts way more people. Don't waste your time like I did - keep mining! :)

What I learned from this game: Steps to build a town: 1. Nuke everything. 2. Build a circus in the blast craters. 3. Profit. Because everyone knows that radiation is fun!

Getting boom town: Clear areas with small explosives, mine until each spot gets ‘bad’ sign. Only build in exhausted areas. Don't chase surveyor - mine along a grid of about 4x4 (or 5x3) until exhausted then start next section. When building, make green influence area of buildings at least 3 spaces from working areas or areas yet to be mined as tents crop up that far out. Build up slowly. Use water towers and taverns, wait for a fair amount of tents before adding more buildings. Add buildings up to hardware when brown buildings emerge – when mostly brown buildings, add buildings up to undertaker and book store. When small yellow buildings are in area, add up to toy store and sweet shop. As they grow to 2 story residencies, add up to gun shop, when buildings start to merge, add the final big buildings - biggest residential will show up (3 spaces wide). Don’t start new area until yellow buildings are prominent in old areas. 2,500 population is possible on starting plot.

I've been reading a lot of these comments some are stupid people complaining about every chance they get. I found the game alright, I agree with the rest of the comments there should be a speed up button for when you place the bombs, or at least have options so the players can check off "speed up through explosion " or something along those lines. Maybe if you make another game like this set boundaries so objects can't fly off the screen. I also wanted to add one comment but maybe for every different type of explosion you have positive and negative effects for example from start we start with what look like cannon balls. Maybe the cannon balls have a 3x3 radius and dig a certain depth, and the higher the explosive the larger the radius it digs/ creates, and the further the truck has to drive. I just found it odd that when i used the small explosive it would fly every where, but when i used a stick of dynamite it would move a millimetre.
3/5

another upgrade u can include is a wall im sick and tired of hunting for the gold and some times its between buildings or trees allow is to build walls so we can direct the flow of gold would be nice just a thought. this includes weakening the blast of weaker bombs (so wont fly so high) the walls will have the same number of upgrade as the number of bombs only you can choose/skip the previous tier and buy the best one (cost wise is your call). *there could be a bomb distance from the wall so the wall doesnt break or fall over (also walls could be a one time use thing)

In order to get boomtown after having all upgrades purchased, you will need to eventually expand your town to cover all 4 plots. Also, you can use the "build town" option to preview where the "gold" place has been surveyed, then move your HQ accordingly.

All right, I've played to a fair point and I've decided to toss my review in. The game works and flows well, but has it's flaws. Gold explodes and flies too far, the truck's hitbox is a tad on the large side, and items can become unobtainable. To fix this, allow the gold/items to only be blasted a certain distance (low for weaker bombs), and not fly off screens or land inside a rock. The truck's box makes it hard to get into a 1 block wide entrance because of it's 1 block wide size. Lower this hitbox to about .8, while keeping the collection radius. That's my take on the game, otherwise I'd give it a 4/5. It has a lot of potential and all, but the disadvantages are game breaking for me. Also, I agree with the minimap idea others have thrown in.

Dunno if it's just me, but I got all upgrades, all plots, crazy amounts of cash, and only 250 population, even though I have tons of buildings to increase the growth... not going to bother for "Boom Town" achieve.
