It's possible to lock yourself out of the totem dungeon and lose out on the good ending by not picking up one of the pieces for the golden watcher.

Would definitely be a 5/5 with a map... Would love to have more description in the beginning of where you should go. Take a cue from Zelda-style RPG's- tons of extra stuff to do, but always at least a little direction to indicate that you are, in fact, fighting your way to the end of the correct dungeon and you won't be barricaded halfway through.

Great game; 5/5. The only thing that I was unhappy about was that you couldn't talk to Sardol again. I really wanted to hear what he had to say after I killed all the Creatures of the Relics for him.

While some are animalistic, I wouldn't have wanted to kill them, I just needed to get past, and they refused to let me. If they are animals with no sentience, I do not think it is bad to kill them.
Also, the Watcher is clearly sentient, so why not the other creatures of the relic?

Needs invincibility after a hit. Needs less lock-ins. Needs solved puzzle components to stay solved when leaving the room. Needs pits to be more visible. Needs quite a lot.

This is by far the best game I have played on kongregate in a LONG time, I have never done tipped a developer before but after playing this through I HAD to tip this game. I will be sure to keep an eye on your future games too.

A splendid way to see the hours pass by! Lovely little story, really worth the while!
There is only one thing that bugs me about the good ending, though [HERE BE SPOILERS]:
In the bad ending, the Oracle "disposes" of you, remarking that you are not needed anymore. What happens after the good ending? Does the Oracles still kills you?
You don't go back to him, so he doesn't get rid of you :) At least, that's what I think. I guess players can think what they want, or maybe there'll be a sequel with something else!

Ok, i was in the water temple i think, and i push one of the block on a corner accidently, so i press "R" for restart, thinking it's will make me restart the room i was in. But it's just restart the whole game...? Crap.

how do you beat the owl? i have been trying to hit him when he's moving and everything, and in even cornered him and spammed the ghost spear but no luck.

Awesome game. I always loved the legend of zelda styled games. Although, there is one minor bug you might want to fix.
When the main character collides with a movable block, it moves the block and makes the sound. When the block hits a wall, it stops. However, it still plays the sound of its movement, even though it hasn't moved. Just something I noticed =)

Initially I was thinking that the game needed a map, but then again the original Zelda game didn't have a map and that was part of the challenge. Excellent game!

yeah.. the R-reset should be clearer, i resetted my entire game thinking it would act as a die-and-restart shortcut.... but finished the game on my second run w/o a walktrough (good&bad) ... amazing game... 6/5!

I disagree with the watchers assesment. Most things hurt me if I approached, or if they approached me. I was justified in killing every one of them.
Well the idea is mostly that they're animalistic, for the most part, and you're the one moving into their territory. For example, the Tentacled Beast attacks you when he sees you, obviously, but he isn't to blame for it--you came to him and threatened him in his home. It is your fault for seeking out danger and killing things that wouldn't try to kill you if it weren't for you invading their home.

You should've been more descriptive in just how you define "r = reset." I thought it meant that you just kill yourself and start over the level; now I have to do everything all over again, but I don't have the time or the patience to do that. For everyone that doesn't know, 'r' resets the entire game. :(
I'm sorry! I guess I never really considered that "restart" would mean anything else, but I added a little more to the description in the controls on this page.

made it to the watcher without killng the lights, clearly he wasnt watching very well
and couldnt i just take the seed from him without killing him? push him over or something?

are you serious, i fell in a hole and cant go on because i didnt get the yellow key first and am stuck. No way out so have to restart? If so this just sucks

this is a good game. the only problem is that there are still quite a few problems in the puzzles, like if you push a button, whatever it triggers will stay,no backing out of a decision. or you get stuck in an area. i got stuck in lacste or however its spelled and i dont have anything but a sord, shield, and fire. have some friends test and debug for you before putting a game online, or if you do please let us know if its incomplete or a work in progress. if the issues were handled id love this game.
To be honest, you really CAN'T get stuck in the game. This has been played by over 100,000 people, and nobody has confronted me in the last 5 days or so (it's only been 7 days since release) with any legitimate incongruities. Go ahead and message me if you're stuck--I can almost guarantee you aren't stuck ;) Also, a walkthrough is in the comments.

at one point it wouldn't let me open my inventory on a boss stage in which I needed my wand and I was stuck....had to reset. wont bother playing through again, fail.
