needs to keep at least the input for the last coded message, this is a game, not homework that I should have to write stuf down.

In level 4 each digit gets a number added to it. If the result goes past 9, then instead of going to 10,11,12, etc it'll loop back to 0,1,2, etc.

Nice game
straight forward but you really need some paper handy
as suggested would be better if it gave a list of the input to results (maybe both stages in the later ones)
Definitely could add some harder levels...
things like XOR, bit shifting and cycling, bit multiplication, etc...

Usability wise, it would be nice if it kept a list of the last few input/output pairs - save me from having to write them down (esp as the output doesn't stay on the screen for long enough).
Then you've got to fix your encryption methods, as most of them have a very short cyclic period exposure. Feed in the output as input to get a number. The feed that number in as input to get another number. Keep feeding the new numbers in until you get the original output again. With many of them, the period is as short as 1 - second number produces the required output.

Call me dumb but I cant get pass the "individual digits are modify... they cycle if they pass 9 or drop below 0 - level 4 i think
Still rated it 4/5

well I start with the code sequence 123456 and wait until I see the order, wirte it down and insert the solution... does it get more difficult after level 5?
Cheers Arend

the thing needs to have 1 guess and 1 result visible for a prolonged time. Most of the time you give a result as an input and receive the answer as an output, the one exception is yet the level with 000000 as an output, that required lots of work.

Now that I've messed with it more, I see that having an entry log longer than 1 guess is a bad idea. It'd promote guess and check. Better to figure out how to solve it quickly by learning/understanding each one. ---- Most are quite doable in ~30 secs max and with 1 or 2 guesses before solving. Variable subtraction might be the only exception.

Mathmatical, geeky, not bad. Needs a log of previous entries and outcomes. Different music options would be really nice too.

Finished it in about 25 minutes, without making notes lol. Wouldn't mind better help with memorization, but wouldn't be as fun if it was too much easier. I like the random ones with best times.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
An excellent idea but making the outcomes disappear so quickly adds too much difficulty to what is already sufficiently challenging. The last few user's trials and their outcomes need to be displayed all the time I think.

Nice idea, palls after a bit. music is ok. slow fall of entries doesn't really work. Just present result, and leave it until player makes a new entry.

Huh, a puzzle that requires thinking, a strongly mathematical mind, and one that actually involves basic cryptography..
I wouldn't classify that as a game though, not in the common sense, unless you're incredibly geeky (like me!).
You're really risking your nick here, people will shoot you down! =P
4/5.. just because of the way the test cases faded away too quickly, I had real trouble memorizing them..

I love analytical problems, but this is a little much for the typical player, I would suggest a "mastermind" approach in future releases, the music is quite nice though.
