Developer Updates
11/06/2017: Update
- Significantly increased soul drops as you progress to higher levels
- Reduced diminishing returns on Spirit gain at lower amounts (<1000 total spirit earned)
- Fixed a bug that could cause crashing at high levels of fortune gain.
- You can now adjust your level with the Left/Right arrow keys.
- Manually switching levels can no longer spawn an enemy with souls (This prevents an exploit where you can spam switch levels until you see a blue-bordered enemy).
- Fixed a bug with stamina break reduction scaling.
- The effect of Tough Body is now included in the damage reduction displayed in your stats.
- Auto-upgrade will no longer play every upgrade sound simultaneously, and has its own sound instead.
- Maybe fixed a bug that could cause some users lag (especially when tabbed);
- Updated Offline Ticks tooltip (you no longer gain ticks when tabbed away, since the game now progresses at full speed while tabbed)
- Fixed a rounding error on Intensityโs tootip.
- Fixed a formatting bug with the Transcend tooltip.
- Fixed a bug causing some particles to show up even with Particles turned off.
- Added some tips. Thanks DukeRascal, Darkskull888, multifails.

I don't think all enemies should get nimble whenever they start getting it, first off nimble starts slowing the game down (They could get seperate stat buffing things that buff 1 stat every X thing) second off sometimes combats spin out into boring miss sludges where noone ever seems to die because hitrate have fallen so low for both sides they're just durdling (plus the "slow" attack animation even though my bar charges up 6+ charges every attack)
Hey, thanks for the feedback! I'm pushing an update in a litte bit that addresses both these issues. Enemies will have reduced Nimble effect early on (50% before level 140), and I'm also slightly scaling up the attack animation speed as attack with more stamina bars.

Great job so far! I currently have a few quick suggestions, may have already been mentioned. First, it'd be great if we could respec one tier at a time if we chose to do so. Like if I wanted to change just the points distribution on my fortune, but leave the others as is. Second, I think it's great that you made auto-upgrade not include "Balance", but would love it even more if it didn't upgrade "Intensity" either. Maybe make the upgrades toggled? So you could choose which ones were considered to upgrade automatically? Third, I'd love to turn the tooltips off just cause of how bulky they are, but I use them to check my skill level and bonuses quite often. Maybe add a second tooltips toggle option for super minimal display showing just the level and current bonus? OR even just a level indicator on the skill icon itself, like the level# on a small textbox at the bottom? Again, really enjoying the game so far. Look forward to your updates.

After passing through the level 100 + soft reset twice I'm not really seeing all that much change in my fights. I think you probably need to make the soft resets more powerful. Otherwise the game is getting rather boring.
Hey, I'm looking into rebalancing this section of the game, a lot of people seem to get bored there. Could you clarify, is it the Fortune or Reputation upgrades that you aren't finding impactful? Thanks! UPDATE: I've buffed various Fortune and Reputation upgrades to hopefully make this stage of the game more entertaining.

I don't like the diminishing return on soft resets. It makes me feel progress is less and less worth it. The abilities that can be bought with those points already have diminishing returns, AND they cost more and more to level up.
Hey, thanks for the feedback. The diminishing returns aren't too heavy, they're just designed so that the optimal strategy isn't to restart at the same level over and over. "Diminishing returns" is actually a bit misleading. You have diminishing returns with respect to the total amount of a type of currency you have, but you also get increasing returns as you push forward in levels, so they end up canceling each other out, as long as you progress a bit further each time.

For me, the rewards from spirit is not as nice as the effort that you need to do all over again. I think im better off just replaying the game without upgrading spirits because i lose EVERYTHING after i upgrade to spirits. Only way to avoid this is to get to a really high level and then to claim spirits. Might as well dont.
