Great pro tip, so basically what you say is, I should start a level by getting war elephants right in the beginning?
I need a bunch of upgrades, before I can get war elephants, when I survived THAT long, I van build what ever I like to defeat the enemy

pro tip: to guarantee 100% effective attacks, select magnum steelblade, wait until you can get the war elephants and golems, make a bunch of titanic versions of them, get a bunch of healers and archers, and ATTACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It takes way to long to break the other castle. The enemy can just build 1 unit consistently to delay breaking down the wall, and use their super duper power or something.

Also when your castle is getting pounded by the enemies golems your golems attack inferior units and the enemies golem attatcks yours a kills it.

Is anyone else disturbed that the only character from the previous game is the only one who has appeared to have aged?

There's not a whole lot to do so far after you beat the game. I'd say this game needs IN-GAME achievements, cause there is a really good invitation for shit to do after you kil Faustie.

Found a bug! When you launch units with number keys, the game counts that as input both for the number of the unit and the number of the slot (causing two different spawns if the unit spawn window is moved). (press 1, you spawn both a villager and the unit that is on the first square of your spawn interface, if you have it moved forward by the arrow)

I liked the first game, but this one feels extremely slow and grindy. I'd like it a lot more if you didn't have to redo all the upgrades each battle and if the combat was faster.

this is a glitch but I'm to the point where they're throwing ballistae at me and I still don't have the stables or workshop unlocked.

Not bad, but just seems lacking anything that makes you feel invested in it as a player. Each level is just essentially a repeat of every other level from a player standpoint. Sure the special abilities change, but that's all...it would be much better if you could customize your playing experience through upgrade, or something of that nature. As it is right now, the first part of each level is identical as you repeat all of the building of your 'base' every single time; which gets tedious & monotonous. That being said, it's still fun-ish, but just lacking that special something to keep me interested in the long term. About 3/5.

Erm, what am I missing with Sheng? He's got ten wizards on the back row before I have anything close to powerful enough to save me....

OK concept, but there are many other games like this. What's missing is being able to queue up units, indication of how many units you got of each kind, better indication on when spells are ready, ability to upgrade metal production (wood especially is underused and is easily capped) and better unit targeting (e.g. when defending they run back instead of killing attackers). Sometimes you almost get stuck because enemy spawns units too fast while you cannot reach the castle. This probably also because of unit targeting, all ballistas seem to shoot on same unit instead of spreading it out. Sometimes enemies first wave is close to invulnerable as well, unless your able to build the right things. A lot of things could be improved. 3/5
