Manually save and use the auto save script from here https://www.kongregate.com/forums/60-anti-idle-the-game/topics/327293-backup-one-script-to-rule-them-all-bugfix-2013-08-05 do it daily and i assure you, you will NEVER, EVER lose your save again. If you dont even try to save your file then dont come crying about losing your savefile.

I had my save on countless pcs. I had my save for more than 5 years. I backup at least once every season (4 Months) usually. it's not hard to do.
Google chrome save location C:\Users\#UserName#\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\PepperData\ShockwaveFlash\WritableRoot\#SharedObjects
Firefox save location
C:\Users\#Username#\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Flash Player
It's not hard to keep saves backed up as long as you know what you are doing, and always allow cookies so your save stays safe. Still can't wait for the standalone version of the game to come out as well.

Wondering why flash only asks to approve or deny the use of local storage, rather than also allowing the user to set local storage. I love this game though miss being able to play it and save.

This game has only one problem... keeping the save. it's more than few years since I started this game, yet save always make me headache.

@lolita96X You ascend by reaching Level 9000+, defeating The Ascendant, and then clicking the "I'm ready to ascend!" button.

@TheRealEpicPies I already know about holding shift while clicking something to autoclick. Forgot to add that before I deleted my help page when there was a bombard of downvotes. But others might see your tip and become better players!

Tip: If you hold down the shift key in some features, it will act as an autoclicker! Now you don't have to get carpal tunnel while trying to click the button. (Also works with opening mystery boxes and feeding the dragon of wisdom)

@ alexander, I'm good. Thanks. The leader boards are wonky and my playstyle is "muddle through" but, I did manage to do 9k2 by "muddling". Thanks again. I'm nowhere near "best" but, this game is PvRNG so, it's all relative as long as you follow my own personal First Rule, "have fun".

@miller Uhh... how did you find that archived copy? I deleted ithe guide because there was bombarding of downvotes on comments. I can PM you some tips when you need them, but at the same time, I don't want people to take advantage of help and then downvote it just because they want to be the "best player in the world".

Alexander, someone found an archived copy of your guide. I found this tip to be particularly helpful, "TIPS
Button Machine [2 tips]
Try to click closer to the center to get more rewards! -alexander720151". Please write more content so that I am able to be as good at this game as you.

@alexander720151 I believe that people would be less likely to downvote your posts they did not include tirades against others. Also, why do you believe that your posts are being downvoted by non-english-speaking people. It seems more likely that people are reading your posts, seeing their content and voting accordingly. Finally, your guide in the forum has almost no content.

That's a bit worrying when you see an achievement saying "YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG" which has 62,000/1,800 progress and there's no way to find out what exactly you're doing wrong since it's a secret achievement and it gets extra worrying when you're doing the thing wrong THAT often...

Moreover, I did not disable updates, but you must be right in it being the cause of the problem, because I seem to remember that saving stopped working after the most recent update (February 5th for me). For reference, my FF version is 65.0

@DenisTheMachine Hmm, reinstalling Firefox is what finally fixed it, but I actually reinstalled Flash Player beforehand as well, with uninstall/install; try this to see if it solves your problem. Uninstalling it will not erase your data AFAIK, but you should backup your savefile anyway, just in case.

@DenisTheMachine Happened to me recently too, but reinstalling Firefox fixed it (no need to uninstall it first, just run the installer again).
