SPOILERS: yeah the ending seemed a little vague and I actually went down and beat the last boss a second time thinking that it would lead to an extra boss and I was disappointed when it didn't. :(

Ok, I have a bomb... I've found what looks to be a crumbly wall... If games have taught me anything, it's that there's treasure behind the wall and I need to blow it up.
Why can't I put down a bomb?

Even after maxing boots exploring is still rather painful. thought as per usual boosting attack is the way to go but found out spells are OP. Went this way to find out whether i get in trouble laters. didn't. Beat the first 2 bosses without probs. spells of Mass destruction kill quickly. fact that chests only contain gems and health potions [and keys to doors which lead to chests...] .. i think you lost a lot of potential on this. was also expecting something like secret doors. cracks in the walls look suspicious. But seems like there are none. Disappointing. bombs seem pointless. a pain to aim then as soon as the enemy is after me. the enemy doesn't give a damn about me throwing a bomb next to them as long as they didn't notice me .. which is good+confusing at the same time. They don't do much damage. Spells are better and are unlimited whereas bombs have to be collected?! I appreciate the hard work you put into this, but i will definitely not keep playing until changes are made.

So annoying that I can't go back a floor. I accidentally got too close to a stairway and it made me go through with half the floor unexplored, making me miss the merchant, so I have no way to get new spells for a number of floors.

Enjoyed the game a bit, although once I started just cranking magic and pumping all my gems into spells it seemed a bit too easy. At least the enemies do shit loads of damage late game, so there's some challenge there, but I feel like that damage output would make trying to play melee incredibly frustrating.

The shield mechanic is a nice touch, but I keep having a problem where it sometimes doesn't block when I press space but then a second or two later my character will put the shield whether I'm holding space or not and not put it down until I press space again.

I feel that this game was pretty good, and all the things I felt could be approved have been stated in the comments already. There is one thing I would like to ask.
SPOILERS: don't read if you don't want to be spoiled
After you defeat the 4 bosses and when you get that message about the other evil on the surface, its that a bonus boss in this game, or are you planning on making that a sequel?

this is a generic game i'd go for but just way too bland, why isn't there crazy equipment and other shit to put skill points into? fail.

Anyone notice that the shopkeeper is totally the real hero in this game? Without that dude and his willingness to hang around some old tower crypt thing selling spells and equipment in order to keep one single customer, we'd get nowhere. Just once one of these days I'd like to see the shopkeeper be the one to get the princess and the happy ending in a game.
Thats a pretty interesting idea and one im inclined to agree with. Hope you wouldnt mind if we made such a game in the future? Thanks for the feedback!

Good game, but after a while you just spam your spells and kill every single monster you found, if it were more floors it would get boring.. The bosses were a challenge though!

Considering we know how much damage we deal and experience collected, is it too much to ask for how many gems we collected?

I don't understand the very low rating. The game is surely improvable, but it's really good as it is and very enjoyable.

I feel like i should point out that the lightning bolt arcs only do 20 damage no matter what level your magic is and what level the skill is. I'm pretty sure that's a bug so I feel obligated to tell everyone.

i am experiencing lag after playing a while in firefox, while another tab lets another graphic intense flash game run smoothly

7k gems collected and still no sign of that stupid trader. haven't seen him since floor 4 and I'm now at floor 9 -.-...

I agree with virtually everyone else, it was fun..for a while but (i've only played it once) I normally play these games as a typical melee so decided to switch it up....and by the 2nd time i went shopping I wondered why there was even a melee option..or a shield (beyond to cancel the scream) i didn't notice the difference between enemies purely because i didn't have to, and by floor 12 "fireball machine gun" was pretty accurate
also I do wish the ending well..didn't suggest there was more game

Pretty good, if it weren't so laggy it would easily be one of the better games on Kong. My only complaint other than the lag is the bonus boss after the mage, the game says to return to the surface which I did and found all of absolutely nothing...

A nice game but two things: first the spells are all you need to finish the game and second the bosses are frankly boring, all you do is sit around waiting for the three seconds you can hit it every minute.

All that being said, I like this game, its interesting and well made, just balance out the melee vs spell system and you will have a winner.

Magic is way too OP in this. I died so many times, then I started using spells. I never looked back. The rock fall one is the worst, I enter a room, and spam it. Everything dies without me even seeing whats there. Either nerf the spells some, or introduce a mana bar system to control how often we can use them. I got the four single target spells, healing, then upgraded them. Then I stopped caring about money. Never upgraded a single piece of gear.
That said, a melee build sucks horribly. You attack so slow, and it just is terrible.

The auto attack can get so annoying, he attacks when you don't want him to which can easily get you killed. do us all a favor and add an attack button

Reminds me a bit of the concept of dark souls am i right? Anyway, truth is if you upgrade magic you hardly need to do anything else. You don't even need to upgrade the entire magic tree. You won't even need the healing spell.

need to make the bosses take damage other than in specific circumstances, even if that damage is heavily reduced. It's happened a few times where a boss would get glitched and would not go into their prone animation, leaving me needing to reset.

NOT a Roguelike. 1/5 just for being another douchebag misusing the niche term for a generic game that has absolutely nothing to do with Roguelikes.

Need to make the doors to other rooms and the stairs to other levels more visually distinct. I can't tell which ones are which right now. Other than that, this is a great game. I like that I can use movement to evade attacks, as well as shield-blocks. It'd be cool if there were a way to customize the avatar or weapons to become more of a dex-based fighter.
