Under rating threshold (show) You seriously have to change 2 things in this game... 1- being able to replay missions. 2- get rid of the stupid level cap.

Under rating threshold (show) What a great game! You must have played Master of Orion nearly as much as I did. I hope you continue to build on this as you have with the protector series. It would be great to see more variety with the ships, weapons, and opponents, but like all the other complainers, I still spent a few hours playing it.

Under rating threshold (show) There appears to be a bug when leveling up. I'm not sure what causes it, perhaps it is if you get 3 levels in a single battle, but whatever the cause one of my ships is missing a few perks for its level. If you fix this bug can you please find some way of fixing this on the bugged ships like with respeccing or something.

Under rating threshold (show) Difficulty curve needs to be made into a more straight line, right now it looks like the stock market, and like many others have said, you cant figure out youve messed up until its too late, some missions need you to be allowed more ships, some ships roles need to be more defined, there needs to be a max on the amount of artillery the rebels are allowed each round, six level 20 artilleries? really?

Under rating threshold (show) great fun, but hilariously easy once you get the kongregate bomber together with a command ship. Just keep on upgrading the bomber's rail barrage and the command ship's issue orders. I'm currently killing everything with just those 2 ships. 12*80 AoE dmg is nice :P

Under rating threshold (show) Beginner tip: Upgrade energy syphon on the Hulk ship. As of right now energy syphon is probably the best attack. The attack costs 40 energy to use, but while using it you instantly regain 20 energy making this attack actually the cheapest of every attack. Energy syphon also deals 1 more damage per level and can hit many opponents in 1 attack making it very useful for crowd control. Last but certainly not least, energy syphon drains 1 more energy every time you level it up. After a while this attack will cripple your opponents' ability to attack giving your team more healing time. By level 20 you will be able to drain 23 energy per attack per opponent while doing 27 damage per hit and if you've maxed out energy regeneration by that time you will be able to use this attack continuously without ever having to rest.

Under rating threshold (show) Not much to add that hasn't already been said by other posters. The level cap is somewhat inconvenient, but I can live with that I as you probably put that in place so that you could 'balance' each zone and ensure that players receive the difficulty level that you intended...however, you really, really need to make zones & missions replayable. The game's enjoyability is severely limited by the fact that you have little, to no, chance to purchase new ships and bring your entire fleet up to comparable levels. As it sits right now, with the lack of being able to replay missions/zones for leveling, & cash generation, the game is about a 2/5; with the ability to replay/grind, I feel it'd be a solid 4/5, possibly 5/5. Nice start though, really.

Under rating threshold (show) I had a hard time on my first attempt at the game, quickly painting myself into a corner as many others, not coping with the rapidly increasing difficulty in the second system using any combination of my ships. Starting over, I found that exclusively upgrading the various armor types helps A LOT, and focusing upgrades on each ship to only one skill (each) makes them more powerful than a balanced out ship. I'm now in my third system and think I'm managing just fine for the time being. For those who struggle, try this out and see if it helps.

Under rating threshold (show) Wow, I almost gave this game a 5/5 while it was loading just because it was developed by undefined. It seems like this came out way too close to your last release, and it needs to be tweaked pretty heavily for me to come back to it. I painted myself into a gameplay corner right away, and not because I was being random with my clicks. I kind of feel like it was only playtested by the dev team, especially after reading some of the comments.

Under rating threshold (show) I agree with most of the constructive feedback offered by others. There should be a way to redeem poor upgrade decisions. Allowing older levels to be replayed is an effective way of offering easier gameplay to those that feel like they need it. The diminished XP of using multiple ships is a terrific balancing device but seems redundant with the ship cap limit for each mission... one or the other, not both. Buying new level 1 ships in advanced sectors seems a bit wonky. Money seems redundant when there are ship limits and limited slots. If one could buy additional module slots, it would make money a more important concern. Overall, the game seems to favor a small number of powerful ships (usually your starting two) over a diverse fleet. Excellent game but needs some refinements to be superb.

Under rating threshold (show) do you ever wonder if , due to the galaxy being so huge, this stuff exists, and we're manipulating the lives of creature (admittedly in pixelated form, but maybe that's to protect their identity) and machines. i hope they don't make a game which finds your address and pits you up against unknown amounts of creatures set the day after you play it. if so, we're screwed

Under rating threshold (show) its too open-ended. we have no idea which perks to take, modules, and no idea what abilities to upgrade, no way to reset if we make a mistake. We are just thrown in this random universe with random abilities. I'm reading how the difficulty rises quickly which isn't a good idea to mix with a game like this. Excellent game, poorly designed. I'm going to have to give it a one so the creator can hopefully re-do this game with some kind of direction to take with perks and abilities, and add a skill reset.

Under rating threshold (show) This game is awesome. You can't win it on the first or third or even fifth try. The only complaint I have is that APS ships are to far in between, the last you can really train is the valour hulk from Britannia. And the extras at the end are way overpriced though they aren't necessary to win. I've played 10 combos and this is what worked for me. Dump the hulk you get initially and buy a bomber, The wasp won't be very useful in the end but it helps mid game with rail barrage.

Under rating threshold (show) Nice idea, but it gets boring with the time. The thing is - its proably to much (too many sectors and too many missions). The turn based mode does not convince me. The mission are always something like - destroy all enemies. You also don´t have the option to research, the only way to change your existing options is to buy devices/ships or to get levelups.

Under rating threshold (show) Either this is a deliberately hard game, or we've been trolled. Without some way to level up the ships you can buy and the really small fleet caps for the missions theres just no way to get more than a couple of systems in because you simply cannot survive battles, let alone win them. Solution: Repeatable and/or random missions in each system.

Under rating threshold (show) Yes you have to get to the 2nd area asap to buy the 2 new wasps, then go back and use them to finish the rest of area 1. If done correctly you will have 5 ships over lvl 5 (i had 9, 8, 9, 6, 5). The biggest spoiler i have is that a bomber with all points in BFB puts this otherwise very hard game on ez-mode.

Under rating threshold (show) See the "Best Comments" section to understand why I'm rating this game 1/5. Levels need to be replayable and/or Battlefleet Capacity needs to be removed to allow levelling of new additions as you go along. IMO, more would be solved if beaten missions were replayable. Game is effectively broken.

Under rating threshold (show) ok so the space theme really does not do it for me, but I believe that you have the base code for something truly great if the theme were to be changed. Make it like a more medieval theme or something and I could really dig this. 5/5 because I see alot of potential lurking here, just under the GUI / skin of the game. Just my opinion though, you have the base of a solid turn based tactical game here.

Under rating threshold (show) I thought I screwed myself by maxing out point defence (lots x small hits), the later enemies have too much defence, so I made a couple big single shot ships which starting to get all the kills. However the commander vesel is awesome, I concentrated on it giving other ships lots of attack buff, this made the multi hit attacks mostly one shot kils even against the hardest enemies, then that same command vesel put up loads of defence buff and bingo, 2 ships can beat almost any level! Point Defence, Corrosive Torp, Issue Orders, Formations = WIN (3 ships)
