Cool game. This game is similar to a rogue-like; since a big part of the game is forcing us to figure things out and make a new file until we find a strategy that works and doesn't get us stuck (aka as death in a rogue like). It is very possible to ruin yourself via making bad ship choices, upgrades, and even wasting EXP on already maxed ships and level caps. (this is a very Protector series mechanic) This does seem to piss people off who think grinding should be able to beat anything eventually. One good tip for people who are stuck, don't necessarily blow up all ships on a level. Save them to level up new ships later on. Since I just started, that's all I got for ya. =P

Could have been nice, but after using the first jumpgate it's way too hard. You just don't have the means to do anything.

You stole the desings of your ships from Star Wars. The first ship you get is just an upside down "N1 Starfighter", and the first enemy ship you fight is "ETA-2 Jedi Starfighter". I wonder how many of your other games also have stolen or uncredited assets...

Yes you have to get to the 2nd area asap to buy the 2 new wasps, then go back and use them to finish the rest of area 1. If done correctly you will have 5 ships over lvl 5 (i had 9, 8, 9, 6, 5). The biggest spoiler i have is that a bomber with all points in BFB puts this otherwise very hard game on ez-mode.

Great concept. Great presentation. Great mechanics. Utterly unplayable due to non-existant balance, vertical learning curve, zero reference resources and lack of any ability to level new ships.

whats this a cool new ship? cool lets train it up.... Seriously, exp for failed levels or something would be fine but whats the point in cool new things if i'm still stuck using my first 3 ships for every level?!

definitely needs some revision, it gets too difficult too quickly. very fun game though, although I wish more ships were available to begin with.

I love this game, its just a pest to level up newer ships, a repeatable mission in the second or third tier levels would be the thing that changes this game from a great game to a renowned game. Five stars still though. I really do like the concept.

Great 5* game. Very good and simple game design. Sometimes the interface is not perfect, some info is missing but it's fine. I wonder how good are the A.P.S compared to the A.S is it worth levelling a LVL1 A.P.S against a leveled A.S ?

I got lucky and managed to get past the first system. Now I'm still stuck because once again, my fleet is not powerful enough to withstand any missions.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I've completed the first 8 or so missions. I have 4 left that I can see on the first system. I also can't continue because I'm simply not powerful enough to survive any of these missions. And since you get no XP from losing, I'm stuck. 1/5 for a horribly balanced game.
Undefined, we expect better from you.....

haha i lost all my ships but killed the last enemy with corrosion... it said i lost but now i'm frozen on the victory screen :/

Would be a great game if it wasn't for the no-replay killing your new units' usefulness, and well.....other people have covered this enough by now.

You seriously have to change 2 things in this game... 1- being able to replay missions. 2- get rid of the stupid level cap.

Yet another fun game... as everyone said, it is really hard at the beginning. Here some tips...
1. Try Focus on just one skill per ship.
2. Try to use the more advance ship of the same type don't buy too many standard ship (400 gold) just buy 1 per type. And when you found more advance ship, replace the old one.
3. Try to level the most use energy skill, it is likely to be the best of that ship (just in some ship but all of them)
4. Exp is very important. Try to go for EXP skill and item.
5. Try to advance to the next area as fast as possible.

I thought I screwed myself by maxing out point defence (lots x small hits), the later enemies have too much defence, so I made a couple big single shot ships which starting to get all the kills.
However the commander vesel is awesome, I concentrated on it giving other ships lots of attack buff, this made the multi hit attacks mostly one shot kils even against the hardest enemies, then that same command vesel put up loads of defence buff and bingo, 2 ships can beat almost any level!
Point Defence, Corrosive Torp, Issue Orders, Formations = WIN (3 ships)

What a great game! You must have played Master of Orion nearly as much as I did.
I hope you continue to build on this as you have with the protector series.
It would be great to see more variety with the ships, weapons, and opponents, but like all the other complainers, I still spent a few hours playing it.

Corrosive torp and FF torpedo is a good way to level up lower level ships. Any corrosion damage kills go to the first ship of the fleet (the one that moves first), so simply selecting the ship you want to level up first in the ship selection screen will give all the corrosion kills to that ship. FF torpedo is a good way of potshoting enemy ships into corrosion KO range, as well as keeping friendlies alive.

Good game, not to hard, not to easy. The only problem I had is, that you can't choose where to place the ships. So i had to place 12 ships in a level and still used only my old 6 ships. (to get 1st hit)

Am i the only one to notice you took all these ships from starwars? The yellow ships are flying backwards unless you purposly intended that. Well anyway goodgame.

Seeing as undefined is known for TD's and such, this isn't all that bad. This game is the first try at expanding on what undefined already knows, and should be treated as such.

See the "Best Comments" section to understand why I'm rating this game 1/5. Levels need to be replayable and/or Battlefleet Capacity needs to be removed to allow levelling of new additions as you go along. IMO, more would be solved if beaten missions were replayable. Game is effectively broken.

I'd like to be able to know how many times i've upgraded each skill already - esp considering how careful one must be when upgrading :)

Stopped playing after I realized there was no replaying missions to grind.
Clearly this will be too easy to screw myself over and hit a brick wall of unbeatability. I don't want to tip-toe through a game, making sure I don't make a bad choice. I want to be able to experiment, and pay the consequences of grinding if my experiment fails.

I found a glitch, with the venom class ships, the target painter attack is glitched, when I used it, my turn was still on AND the energy was used even though it doesn't show...

Just finished the game with a highly optimated but still not flawless strategy. They difficulty is not too high; quite the opposite, it's too low sometimes so that you can get away too long with awful play and wrong strategic decisions. As a result the optimal strategy consists of not buying items except for XP boosts and the most useful armor shield, since the problem when commanding a well-balanced fleet lies not in beating the enemies, but just in leveling the right ships in the right zones at the right time. So there are some flaws in the game design, but nonetheless i give it 5/5 for the challenging experience.

Correctiong regarding BUG: numbers over 100 sometimes are just not displayed correctly, but work as intended (XP and damage). there is another problem where some sort of attacks make no damage (same attack makes 0 damage and then 87 in the next round). seems to be a bug related to armor.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
in the second version, players recomend to:
1 - show the finished ''worlds''
2 - correct the damage bug >100
3 - replay on already finished ''worlds''

BUG: There is a problem with numbers >100. Hits for over 100 make 0 damage. XP bonus higher than 100 gets reduced by 100 (120 -> 19 e.g.).
