This really needs descriptions on the different weapons and armor about what they do. What is 'Smunch', for example? Not that it really matters as it seems my armor and weapon choices don't even select, as the next time I return to the screen it shows my characters in their original things.. This really seems unfinished to me.

It's possible to "upgrade" to the *same* thing: buy bow X, you can buy it again. Of course, you lose resources.
Also, it's only possible to gather one thing at a time. I'd like that when I have two groups of units, they could gather separately, effectively doubling the gathering speed.

Ok, this is really annoying me. I want things to stay targeting whatever I told them to target. I have to check back on my harvesters every couple of seconds to get them to reharvest, which irritates the crap out of me.

Ressources gathering is lame, no point of redoing a map, overall slow attack ( or too fast-moving mob ). Miss too much things for being enjoyable.

Hmm.Is it possible that you stole the Crystals (I talk about these Blue,Yellow,Violet ones) from the Game:"Pokemon Mystery Dungeon 2"?Cuz they look exactly the same.But the game is good 4/5.

I'm really surprised at these negative comments. How many other TD games give so much depth as this. The protector series is one of the greatest of all time and this is just a new version with some different features to give a change. Just enjoy it for what it is. A fantastic TD game. 5/5

Regarding items, if you want to go the route of unit advancement being manual and piecemeal, you should start investigating ways to reduce the load on the player when they manage items. Possible solutions could include player-defined "templates" that can be applied to a unit, causing them to automatically purchase the desired items when they are available, or settings to optimize for a specific trait (armor-piercing percentage, splash damage, raw damage, etc.). Note that these item management ideas are *not* for this particular game, but rather for future games with similar mechanics, in which the types and effects of items would be designed to fit with the chosen approach.

Ok, so my thoughts on the mechanics you're testing out: In general, I like everything new from the Protectors series, but the execution needs to be cleaned up. The "bigger isn't always better" vibe is nice, and will hopefully serve to keep the Protector series from growing opaque and bloated in its scale and mechanics (see: Final Fantasy). I like the idea of harvesting, but (as others have said) it should be completely automatic. This way, it's a positioning problem, not a micromanagement problem.

johndaniell, this is not a cheap copy as you say, because it is made by the same guy, and also, why are people complaining about a flash artist, who is trying out new things that he can do? I would rather have a person make good TDs and other types of flash games than a person who makes one thing good and just changes one thing and say its a sequel.

I like grinding in strategy games to improve my army... this you can't grind... getting resources is annoying and there is only 3 units... I prefer strategy... not clicking around randomly..

just a suggestion maybe you could make it that u can drag and click to select bunchs of people and then make like 8 people buy w/e armor and w/e weapon because i for one and sick of going click click click click click click click over and over for weapons and armor + if u agree

what this needs: 1. An option to make it so your protectors will not harvest when enemies are in range. Too much micromanagement involved with the current system. 2. A way to upgrade your dudes with less clicks. Maybe have certain weapons and armor hotkey-able. As is, I have to pause a lot and micromanage so I don't die. 3. option to auto-pause when you enter a unit's menu. That way I won't have to mash pause all the time. Pretty much, make it so I don't have to pause for more time than I play, and make it so all the necessary micromanagement is streamlined and easy. Click + if you agree.

Seriously, your games need updating. Would you mind to update protector I with a fast foward? And the others with a faster fast foward? Balancing the units in Protector (all of the versions)? Balancing dungeons in my pet protector (both versions)? Fixing many things in my pet protector 1? Fixing plenty of useless things in all your games (or at least give them some background meaning)? We love your games man, and you are at least in my opinion one of the top developers of the flash gaming comunity, but please update your games... Except that, its like i said before. Your games rule, you rule.

I would like to know what they are without buying every item.

please add a hotkey for "play" "FF" and "pause". even just Z, X, and C would help a lot, so I don't have to speed up the enemies for a split second when I want to pause them.

I honestly expected this game to be alot better.... the upgrading equips thing was cool at first but got repetatively annoying, the gathering resources system is annoying, no benefiets of actually replaying... maybe simplify the game a bit and refine the resource gathering or add some sort of auto gathering until enemies are near..... and auto making thier own gear would be nice too

Am I the only one that thinks the original Protector feel(pre-TD) has been completely destroyed? Now it just feels like another batch of dull Tower Defense games, and those have already been done over and over and over again.
