The difficulty ramp up is way too intense. First map is kind of easy, all the units attack so slow and when there's big giant snaking rows of them all you can do in the beginning is use blast magicians to try and take them all down, which don't work. As well like everyone is saying... no exp when you replay maps...?

Killecter, get a life. I've never "hacked" anything in my life. Google how to score high on this game. Or better yet....read a few comments down where I actually post how to do it.

Good game, unfortunate that it becomes easier to spam one unit over and over (archers) as opposed to upgrading a few units to their maximum capability. I like the difficulty, just not the manner which it is overcome.

i AGREE 2 no need of replaying maps, no need this game u need skills not simply repeat the easier level till you get all xp 2 get everything max, for me its 5/5 ^^

It would be nice if there was an "are you sure you want to quit?" because I pressed it when I meant to press audio options.

I've finally managed to collect at around 75% of the blueprints. However, it's now to the point where I only have the energy and patience to complete one map per day. XD

It would be nice to see the inventory without having to select a character first. Every time an item shows up I then need to click on a character to see what it was.

A really good game imho, I like the idea of harvesting for resources, and also the idea of equiping the soldiers with weapons, and not just using linear upgrades.
The whole game seems not very well tested though - most of the skills are rather useless, and I finished the whole game completely relying on archers and ignoring everything else.
Also that you have to play each level four times, could be improved by just using different achievements where you can achieve multiple on one try.
4/5, I really hope they work on that!

Number of lives should add points to total score. I always finish levels with 100+ lives and it doesn´t seems to improve my final score.

One feature I'd like to see is disbanding units. Sometimes it would be useful to disband a unit from a spot (perhaps get half the resources back) to place a different type of unit there. Alot of times I place a unit in a spot strictly to harvest, and it would help to be able to remove that unit once there is nothing left in range to harvest.

Okay, there are some problems with this game and I recommend some upgrades, 1. Let the units be able to level up to better their base stats, 2. Have the actual person be able to level up by exp, instead of by level. Then it makes it too hard to level up in the beginning~ and 3. Give the achievements some kind of bonus, like the archer attacks upgrade the damage done by archers by like 5% or something. Something small, but still gives something. Ty for your time~

Solution to resource gathering: a cheap (maybe 30 gp to start) unit called "worker" or something clever like that, possibly that would cost 1 of each resource whose main purpose would be to gather resources

At first it was hard and I'm thinking, alright I have to figure out the right combo of guys that work for each level, a bit of work but challenging and fun as well as frustrating... NOPE!! There is one bow that takes this game from hard to way way too easy: The Critter Critter. Now all my game is is boring tree farming, filling the map with archers, and spending every skull I get on Critter Critters... this need to be nerfed a bit... it's stronger than the last bow you get for 5x the price. At first I thought this game was just so well thought out that you needed to be specific about what you build which would be annoying in itself, but still fun to figure out: NOPE! Turns out this game was just thrown together and not playtested at all and whoever did the math just used random numbers and didn't attempt to balance the game at all. Thinking about changing my 5/5 rating to a 3/5. PLEASE FIX THIS GAME! IT HAS POTENTIAL!

I'm really surprised at these negative comments. How many other TD games give so much depth as this. The protector series is one of the greatest of all time and this is just a new version with some different features to give a change. Just enjoy it for what it is. A fantastic TD game. 5/5

I just beat the game and enjoyed every minute of it. Fantastic game 5/5 and definitely needs BADGES!!!. For those of you who think it is too hard, try working with your skill points. Mana, Recruiter, Soul Harvest, and base damage can be very helpful for some of those more challenging maps. Very well done, definitely one of my favorite protector games.

Ok here is a full list of bugs/glitches i found so far:
Steal skill doesn't work. You dont get money when you see that coin. Even if you inflict 30 damage+ on a boss you get nothing.
An archer equipped with the wizards bow actually targets unit before harvesting, while other units ignore units while harvesting (and no those units were not on "no harvesting mode")
Map glitches:
Scarce bunnyman burrows is listed as scarcity but is scarcity AND sudden death
Elemental planes of scarcity is listed as roadrunner but is a drainage map

UPDATED Every one keeps saying that it's hard as hell but actually, I found it pretty easy. Look : uppgrade the skill "damage dealing", you will deal +5 damage (skill level 10). +5 is not so much for a warrior, but for a Bowman, it's realy good. Then upgrade your mana. Thanks to the skills for gold and for souls, you won't run low on gold or souls so you can hire some harvester. Now that you're quite at ease on both ressources, you can buy powerfull units with mana leeching abilities to be able to use your skills faster (place them at the very beginning of a map). Now hire some huge splash damage dealers (place them where many critters go or right after the mana leechers then toogle attack mode to "last"). Don't forget : splash damage ignore critters' armour! One giantslayer + some bowmen to finish off critters
By Enesis...and it works! Thanx Bro, Merci pour ca! Vote him...not me

Equiping in the map is just for dressing up your little protectors, you have to craft the items on the field for them to use it.

if you want to gather rescources and dont want a curtain unit to gather even though its near by, click the unit you dont want to gather, and above the word buff youll see crystals infused with a rock, click it to toggle gathing or no gathering for that single unit... and there you have it :D

I dare say, these people have made the TD genre reach a new level of brilliance. However, I believe they ought to try and visit a new genre. such as a good RPG, or an action game. Just try and make some more varying stuff. But still, its a good game.

all depends on your tactics, if it doesnt work, change it, some maps you may need more resources[master craftsman] others you need better unit dmg, all maps are beatable, just takes a lot of trail and error
keep this voted up

I usually like all their games but the two without badges seem to have a problem with balance. Things seem to get through very fast in both of them.

@nobslayer
You need to craft the items for the unit in their personal menu, underneath the weapons/armor/accessory slot.
