I must say the Protector team has indeed outdone themselves on this one! This is easily commercial worthy to the tune of 10 bucks or so, I seriously think they need to talk to Sony about this one and try to port it for the PS Store, I would buy it without a second thought considered the only other decent tower defense game for the system is Savage Moon. Only thing I still don't like (and haven't since the start) is that you can not sell or turn off towers (units)...I understand that is part of the strategy, but it would be nice to add a remove option before starting a wave in case you misplace a tower, could also use a buyback option from store as well, I kept selling things I was trying to give back to a faction on accident. This game is easily your best work yet, 7 out of 5!!!!

there NEEDS to be a way to sell because i got to a boss and it absorbed and regenerated everything but melee which was 2 guys, if i could sell i would be able to replace them

the only thing i hate is when there are flying units where melee cant hit and when theres barely any room to put units at beginning of some lvls

Quite fun, but you have to switch around items between every battle to be most effective. This would be less irritating if you didn't have to mouseover every item to see what it did. Needs a system where you can easily organize items by a particular stat (e.g. click "ranged combat" and it will show all the ranged combat items in order of strength).

I can't figure out which units have what elements. I've checked through the guides and everything. I really feel like I'm flying blind, and because of this I can't bring myself to enjoy this game enough to get past the insane learning curve. Honestly feels like a step down from the last protector game.

there need to be side goals such as "improve relations with the cult" from tyriana for 500 wealth to make the side quests meaningful

feature requests: a) Cold (dark-blue) and Physical (black) weakness colors look very similar on a crappy LCD, make Cold a bunch of shades lighter. b) add both Strength and Weakness colors to the scouting report, etc - currently only weakness is represented.

A feww people are saying that their game is not saving but for the majority it is fine. It may help if you say what browser you are using if it is not saving. I have played on Chrome and FireFox and it has saved and loaded with no problems on both. As for the game...................... 5/5 :)

You do realize that games are saved on your computer not on the site, so if you run any cleaners like ccleaner all save filed will be deleted, that might be your problem because I haven't had any with it.

too long lik all protector games ... but i liked it ^^ the idea of each heroe beiing diferent was good . 4/5
it would be better if speed up was faster :/

The auto-save is not working. Every single time I've returned to the main menu and clicked on continue my save is gone and I am asked to start a new one. This is a BIG problem, that a lot of other people are having, and comments like this one should be discussed and dealt with, not instantly thumbed down due to rabid fandom.

I have played all the Protector games and this one is the best by far...can't wait to see what's next in the series..

this game is a bit cheap the crossbows do nothing and you can be doing great then they hit you with an impossible wave, a little to hard in the beginning

i like both sites so i give thumbs donw on that... this is what he said......thank you for making your home Kongregate and not ArmorGames.....

Every time I fail a single mission I start over. I don't fully understand the win/failure effect. Also, it never clearly explains what happens to extra money I earn in battle. It doesn't seem to be transfer to me when I win. Too many things that don't make sense. I want to like this game but I get so frustrated with it after about 1 hour of playing, and I've wasted too much time on it already.

Crovax, I agree, I think the color for Energy should be Yellow. It just works better that way: Red, Yellow, Green, Blue, Black.

Hey undefined, can you make a "sell unit" button pleas, its the only niggle se naggle the games has! 10/5!!!!! :-)(-: Thanks!

The Protector series of games have definitely jumped the shark. The first two are among the best Tower Defense games ever made. But then the designers kind of went crazy with adding features, and now it is just a mess of RPG-like upgrades and micromanagement that is simply tedious and repetitive. This is not what TD gaming is about.

Why is the symbol for 'energy' yellowish white and the symbol for 'physical' a purple cloud??? Did anyone else get the two mixed up for a long time?

auto save sucks.
I fired a hero the equipment on him dissapeared with him. weak. I tried to reload, and auto save screwed me.

This game was fun, but it lacked a strong meta-game tie in. There were many skill points and factions and little interacting pieces, but they weren't actually meaningful. 4/5 for having a really great start; the amount of this game that hinted toward more but failed to deliver make it merely average, while the effort put into the visuals bring it up to near great.

wizards are really overpowered... i bought chakona and the rest of the game became a cakewalk because both his units have such great coverage... one of them with a snare. all i really did was pump magic use every time he leveled. if there were any strong vs cold rounds he'd still be able to beat a lot of them, maybe with the help of another neutral element helping him.

Game is pretty and complex, but you can beat it with one wizard (the energy trainee you start with) just by piling points into magic use and elemental swaps to get the best attack type on each level. I beat every level with almost no effort (38 wins 6 losses: 3h 36m), bought nothing except a the coins that give you tons of magic use bonus and ignored every other hero in the game.
You have to get rid of the elemental swap items ENTIRELY and nerf the magic use bonus & up the wisdom & other skill bonuses. Otherwise, all the other features of the game are useless. New heroes? don't need them. Search for cool items? I can buy the only stuff I need. Steal? Loot? Nope, why bother? There's just way too much not worth doing.

Not half as difficult as previous games - takes away a lot from the new units and doesn't promote using them or even bothering to hire the hero who has them.. because your main hero has over 25skills, and you don't want to lvl a hero who starts with 3-5skill points.
