@iamthehobo: In the past Protectors, consecration gave your unit the ability to hit it's element with much less deduction of damage than it would've without consecration. For example, a fire mage can now hit other fire elemental monsters with 75% its normal damage (rather than the 50% w/o consecration). I haven't seen that skill yet in this one, but I'm pretty sure it'd be the same thing.

lot of battles where you have flying enemies, yet you have chars that are purely ground attack at the begining, be nice if you have some storyline maps that was JUST ground, insted a a mix of both on all maps after the first few, i picked a ground warrior as my main guy, and solf him off after the first three maps, be nice to have some maps that is all land

@dylancool2: All the Protector games have NOT implemented a sell unit function b/c the developer believes this missing function adds to the strategic level of the game. Which it indeed does.

The navigation in the menus on the main map is tedious. make it faster (I don't need to see it un-scroll every time) and change it so you still have the menu on the left, instead of having to close, open another one. Otherwise great addition to the series. 4/5 will change to 5/5 if the navigation gets better.

I restarted and flash downloaded new 10.1, now this game is not working with the new version. The page keeps telling me to get flash.

this game is amazing. amazing! it is massive and almost too much to get a grasp on. the only critique i have so far is the difficulty - which is partly exacerbated by the fact that items and their effects aren't adequately described. some are obvious, but others are pretty hard to figure out, except by trial and error, which potentially means going through a battle with a crappy item. it is difficult, there's no doubt about that, but it also manages to be very engaging, very fun, and full of surprises. 5/5

hero selection is a big gamble beyond picking at least one guy who is the right element. chances are the level is full of fliers too, which means you have to bring someone who has ranged units AND is that element. even then you can get screwed by a horde of walkers around if you dont bring melee that are strong against that unit. everyone else is a gamble and the fact the level disappears afterwards means theres no way to prepare for it. annoying.

@ clashramones -- Consecration, in the previous games, at least, increased the damage that a unit did to an enemy that would normally have resistance against it.

Now that I have calmed down, it is so great to see the continuing of one of the finest flash games around!

Love the game, but some serious issues. The "recommended element" is wrong most of the time for side quests. Flying waves need serious rebalencing, they are usually strong against the "recommended element," come in great numbers, and are rediculously tough. One flying wave can lose you the quest. Also, too much faction relation penalty for failing a quest. I can two or three successful quests, fail one and lose all available side quests.

all around amazing game. everyone of these is better than the last. i kinda miss the huge song selection but you kept some of the best and you made it so i can grind to make up for my lack of skills and for that i thank you. and those damned badgers are still there i HATE the badgers!!!

is there any way to sell people after they are on the battle field? because if not (and I don't think there is), then there should be. also the consumable items for the heroes don't appear to do anything.

Found a bug. I sold an item to the store, then quit to the main menu. Then I continued (load), and the amount of gold went back to the value before the selling. In other words, I sold an item for nothing. I did it twice, it happened twice.

I normally strongly dislike tower defense games - this is one of the few rare exceptions. The RPGish elements added are fantastic. It would benefit though from three things; if it was easier to upgrade your units in combat, if you could see the effects all the bonuses on a hero in a table, and if you had a grid of element/unit type. In general everything is there, but the accessibility is a little difficult in the heat of battle and improvements are at times hard to judge.

meh, really similar to the ones before it. it just doesn't do enough thats new. the first protector was really fun, but they just keep getting more and more boring. 3/5

Also, the unit stats window should include info on the unit's special abilities (like "30% debuff" "10% slow" or whatever), so you don't need to go into the skill tree and add up the talents in order to know. You could put it besides the element affinity icon.

I just paid 2000 GP for something that gives me 5 GP after each quest!?!?! That means that I will have to play 400 quests just to make back my investment...SERIOUSLY!?!?!?! DO NOT BUY THE "Scroll of the Investor"

Ugh! Just like in Protector III it's so damn tough to make money in this game! I seriously love the changes though. Protector III was the worst in the series and this took a whole new spin on things and it's addictive and fun.

my overall hero (as in me) stopped gaining exp from anything....is there a way to fix this? i've went on several story mode quests to try and get it to be more difficult and that hasnt worked....

Greater diversity in factions would have been likable. Lizardman and orcs have to have some claims. Still, love the game, love the series. 5/5.
