david, that way, you could have a bunch of fire mages on a level with undead, but still be able to slow and posion them. Its actually great!

I think I am a bit confused. When upgrading a mage, you goes if its poison, fire, energy etc. But then when you upgrade again you decide what its specialty is, so your fire mage could be your poisoner? And your poison mage could be your slower?

Brilliantly upgraded. Still kept the base of the game but made it so much more elegant. I love the weebl and bob reference too! XD

Game lags with every mage/warrior hit (even on the newest comp) that's really annoying. nice changes but it's only 4/5 for me

very nice game. i like it even more than the first one. the bosses are rediculous though. they only steal 1 live when they go out of the stage and even come back. with like 10 lives left you can attack them 10 times and that should be more than enough..

The first one was amazing; this one continues to live up to and beyond its name. Sure it is a lot harder in the fact you can not create the original mages of different elements, but that would be an awesome skill to earn each of them ^.^
Yet another awesome game to proudly call a favorite! Ciao ; )
P.s. You know it is 5/5!=P

Really like the new upgrades, the scout bar is more intuitive and the upgrade system allows for better customisation. I'm not good at tower defense games and don't claim to be, so I'm glad this one inspires me to try (in vain) to be good at it. I also like the new monster types and the visual upgrades on your defenders. Lovely game.

I'm having issues where it won't let me select a mage to view its properties & level it up. Other than that, I for one like the changes, although I'll have to play it more to decide if the total gameplay is better or not.

Not really much improvement on the first one... Kinda disappointed that it was just the same game with some minor changes.

and agree with wazzaaa first one was good and i beat that one using strategy, this new one is turning out to be crap.

there should be a colour indicator for the affliction, maybe their belt colour or something... otherwise i love it :)

I absolutely loved the first Protector. It was very in depth, but also managed to keep things simple. Which is why I'm turned off to this game. The branching upgrade system makes everything way too overwhelming to manage, and takes too long to give you what you need. This new system heavily depends on the need to see what waves are coming at you, but now for some reason you need to waste skill points to be able to do that. This game has some good ideas, but in practice it just alienates me as a big Protector fan.
