Great game, but one complaint: each stage takes WAY too long. Should be some sort of Send next Wave button like on GemCraft. But still a 5/5.

I believe i did it when I had 8 points to spend on damage boost and armor absorb which is necessary to get through the high armor wave 3 and 4

It's very fun, but for some strange reason, i get sick of it too fast. I think its kuz each "stage" takes wayy too long, but maybe it kood just be im not the type of person who likes that stuff... Wierd though, kuz i love all RPG's..

err I mean just before the start of wave 3 not during it, so level up 1 ice mage just before wave 3 and let him solo kill wave 3 and 4

I beat fallen mine with the strategy to make the top 2 ice mages and bottome 2 fire mages, with applicable builds to boost them, via skill points. but the trick is to not level up the fire magesat all until just before the final wave, and always level up the ice ones. but during wave three only level one of the ice mages, giving that one ice mage the boost he needs to kill wave 3 and 4 solo.

If you're having trouble with the Not So Vast Forest, use your skills on 3 extra lives, and the rest on the poison warriors and such. Then simply pave the inside two rows and fill with melee. Upgrade to tactician and you should get it. Make sure to get Consecrate to be able to whoop the snake at the end.

Fallen Mine: .... how the F do you kill wave 3 and 4 ? ... 3 has 50 armor... immune to all inflictions ... wave 4 has 80 armor ... cant even touch them

I love some of the names in this game! anyways, this is a pretty good defense games, but then again, i'm still fairly new to them. 4/5

To joflow3k, rofl, how is that a glitch? Just because you can't level up one guy to level 7 and then hit for a lot while you lose because everyone else is level 1, doesn't make it a glitch.

I get that, and that works fine if I can choose to have some mages that don't take a specialty. However, if I have a section (in a small level for example where I already have lvl6 mages of all four specialties, it is not possible to put down a lvl 3 mage who doesn't screw up one of my other mages. It just seems a bit silly.

@ CBDroege:
Inflictions of different kinds stack. So if you need to put a new mage in front of another mage with a specialty built up, then just make the new mage have a different specialty. For example, if your good mage has say LVL 6 Slow, then make your new mage get a LVL 3 Cripple. Then as the monster passes by both mages he will be inflicted with both LVL 3 Cripple and LVL 6 Slow. The only way that one mage will be cancelled out is if you put the new mage in front with the same infliction as the good mage, such as making them both Slow. Then you will have to wait for the LVL 3 Slow to wear out before a new slow is able to be inflicted. The strategy is to space your mages out properly to have all monsters under all inflictions at all times.

There should be some way to choose not to give a mage any specialty at all when advancing to third level. It wouldn't be a problem except for the rule that when a creature has been given a condition, a stronger version of that condition will not over-write it. This means that if I have a spot where Ive build up some mages with specialyies, and I have a need to put a new mage in front of them, I have to choose a specialty for him at level three, and ruin one of my specialists down the line. I don't know if you intended that to be part of the strategy, but it seems like it shouldn't be.
Other than that, everything is great, keep up the good work.

Something glitches where the first or second mage I put down does uber-damage, which would be cool, except nobody behind him builds any xp and eventually it screws up the whole thing.

the sound effects are very sharp -- could you turn down the volume? or find some that don't pierce your ears so sharply

This game f'n pwnz!
Seriously, I thoroughly enjoy this game and would definitely say it is a major improvement over the original Protector. Very well done.
