I had a good start, but then more enemies started rushing us and my troops would either keep missing or just watch as enemies walked right past them and down the bottom of the map.

Haven't played this version for a long time. At first, I was a bit confused about the controls, in MnB3 the numbers are for selecting your units.
But on my second try, I still got to wave 100.

Here's what I did to get the medium badge: I put a bunch of the regular soldiers (mostly the [2] guys; I upgraded 2 of them with the [1] weapon; I had 1 or 2 of the [1] guys too) in two trenches with a medic in each. I added a gunner and a bazooka guy later on. It seemed to work okay for the first 100 kills. It's probably a bad strategy long-term, but it did the job at least. I left the game to its own devices around 80-90 kills and died with 109 kills.

Can somebody please just list exactly what you have to "buy" when, to get the botd? There are way too many options and way too few points and I don't care about this game at all to study the wiki for the next few hours. There must be an easy way to get 100 kills?

This game should not be a botd as it's complete garbage... I've killed over 100+ enemy and still did not get botd, so reported as missing achievement

Pretty awful game. The font used for messages/instructions etc. is virtually unreadable. The gameplay is boring in the extreme. How crap like this gets badges is beyond me. How it gets Badge Of The Day....anyones guess.

My own guy's grenade blows up a tree my guys were embanked behind. I set a guy on fire and he stays on fire long enough so he can race toward my flamethrower and set him on fire. This is the absolute definition of horrific games. 1/5 It doesn't deserve that.

This game is so, so bad. You cannot unclick a guy. Even when selecting a menu item it wants to send my soldier into the middle of the battlefield. Really, really bad.

I wish I could play an older version of this game, before they made bunkers useless. My bunkers just get blown up constantly by everything. Like, all they protect against are grenades and AAs. Legit everything else has blown up my bunkers.

It really is great when your 2 AT guns shoot beneath themselves and your sarge decides its a good idea to obliterate 100 EXP rifle 98 big man with a grenade. Especially great because he promptly died to throwing a grenade beneath himself.

I was doing so great, had a medic, officer, a few specialized troops. Suddenly a solid wall of self propelled artillery appeared and fired, killing everyone but a medic, an officer, and an mg soldier.
