Description
Recon is a technical, advanced small team tactics experience that, faithful to the mud and blood series, won't take you by the hand.
Lead and administrate a team of elite Rangers during the Vietnam War as they hunt humans across the Laos border. It'll be unfair at times, mostly brutal and definitely random.
This game has been built over the last year with the help of the Mud and Blood community with great attention to historical and technical 'realism' giving RECON a hardcore military sim flavor.

Developer Updates
Good day Rangers. We hope your war is going well and that you are keeping a good kill count out there. The patch 1.3 introduce few new features such as the infamous red folder!! Now the secret war in Laos has more depth with VCs capabilities being increased or diminished by your actions in the field notably assets being destroyed.
- Red folder active with a ton of new functionalities to experiment. Have fun.
- Assets destroyed will now hurt the enemyโs capabilities.
- New memos to reflect the enemy replenishing his capabilities.
- Merit capped at 100%
- Merit canโt go lower than 0%
- Merit reset after each tour
- If you ignore a memo from a lower rank officer you still get a minimal -1% merit hit.
- Removed the +5% merit to kicking soldier action but kept the morale boost.
- Replacement Rangers will take some time to get to your FOB now.
- Counter Lurps will die like everyone else from explosions.
- DSHK will sound like M60s for now.
- Spawn table for VC weaponry pertaining to their role and weapons availability in the AO.
- If a villager tells you about an impact point on a BDa mission, it counts as being recceโd.
- Fixed enemies flying off the map or for ever on some occasions when they are blown away by explosions.
- Fixed an issue in RTX missions where the timer would not stop when the game is paused.
- BTRs will explode when hit by HE explosives (M72/Airstrike/Artillery HE)
- New trees
- New placeable: Temple, provides cover
- Sandbag pits (whatโs at the corner of a firebase) now explode properly.
- Implementation of ZSU hvt
- Culvert (new placeable)

Tips
1. Always carry a camera, radio (obviously), at least 2 IV drips and field bandages. The highest ranking soldier you get at the start? Put all his skills on Spotting. Trust me, it'll make things a lot easier. More so since there's a night mechanic now. Unless you want to make a combat oriented team, or the mission needs you to, try to avoid killing vietcong unless absolutely necessary. What you want is stealth on early missions so you can rank up quickly. Higher ranks means more choices of missions. You don't need to always cover your tracks. You can set up ambushes along the way your footprints are leading to. Last and most important, if you can't finish a mission, DO NOT RAGEQUIT. Just dust-off. You'll still get 25% xp. This is still a lot IF you used stealth and because you were searching the whole AO, you recced most of it. Oh, and the camera range is helluva lot larger than you think. Only the pictures with the most assets will be counted. (soldiers,installations,traps)

Took fire from a pillbox, moved a guy up to grenade it. He literally dropped the grenade at his feet and died 10/10 Unfair Random Brutality - IGN
