The game won't go to the mission accomplished screen, it just stays stuck on the game screen after we extract. Now I have to accept my second ragequit in a row thanks to this glitch - damn!

A few last things, after 365 days, your tour will end, your merit will determine your chances of having another tour. If you have 50% merit, you have a 50% chance to be approved of another tour, if you are not approved, your profile resets, so keep your merit high. You keep everything if you are approved, but your troops may or may not decide to sign up another tour with you. Keep your Intel to 50+ to Find, Fix & Kill HVTs and only spend Int to remove heat. Avoid missions that generate high heat unless you need to level up your new rangers. For memos, always go for the merit and sacrifice morale, your select 4 ranges will always have high morale. Use the wiki if you need more help/additional information. Good luck!

Complete a patrol without a scratch to unlock m14 (best gun in the game, but can be switched with FNAL for higher dmg with the trade-off for range and lower ammo capacity. Complete a patrol without footprints to unlock Ho-Chi-Minh sandles, rangers will move considerably faster and will not leave footprints. Loadout: Spotter: M14, Camer, Frag, Knife (Can slit enemy throats from behind if the op is covert and hostile killed will make the op still covert. Can be replaced with frag on combat ops, frag (HCM sandles if unlocked). Radio: M14, Coms, Smoke (WP if unlocked or keep smoke), Frag (Or batteries on heavy radio use mission) Frag (HCMS), Combat: M60, Frag, Frag (Ammo box on heavy combat op), law, frag (HCMS). Viet: M14, c4, frag, IV, frag (HCMS) and secondary weapon are the same (2/2)

Glad to see this game still gets some love but this version is outdated and head over to the official website for the latest build. Tips: HIghest level ranger skill pts into spot, 2nd highest one into radio. Then tothe unranked one, 1 with combat and the next one into Viet. Your Viet guy will do all the searching as the Viet skill increases your chances of finding hard intel. Unless it's crucial to the mission, do not engage any VC as the cons (more heat and might trigger QRF) outweighs the benefits (Intel). High Heat mission means more enemies, higher tier units (NVA & Counter-LRRP) which will often be accompanied with support weapons such as mortars or vehicles. Also, the QRF will be massive and there will be traps, which will hinder your team, so keep the heat score at 0%. (1/2)

I love and enjoy this game thoroughly, but I am having consistent issues with saving. It either resets my career or I will finish the patrol, ensure It is finished after reaping experience and statistics on the task at hand, and when I sign off and check back in - the patrol is reset.

I was walking to the LZ when two of my guys were killed by an MG that had a bush directly in front of it I couldn't see. The bush blocked the MG from shooting anybody not directly in front of the MG. Unfair Random Brutality.

@nuclearstrike78, you can use a dead/wounded ranger's equipment, Simply move 1 ranger towards to downed ranger and use the arrows to selected the downed ranger's equipment, or the radio in your case

@JacobB2187, That isn't how you use the knife. You have to remain covert and the soldier with the knife has to remain almost directly behind the enemy and about 3-7 seconds later, he will preform a silent take down. The reason why the enemy might be punching you as you're coming in from the sides or you are not covert or possible you're on top of him.
@Best_Of_Shonan, You preform a silent take down with the knife to clear the LZ or use a suppressed weapon. You can also a secondary/improvised LZ if you're captain. Alternatively, if you have the kill card, you can ex fill on foot

Whenever I start a Wiretap mission I always find myself getting caught because of multiple VCs guarding the LZ. Are there any way other way to extract?

1 man was downed, happened to be my spotter and radioman. We'd walk 3 feet and another viet would pop up. We sat at the LZ for 2 days before were finally allowed a Huey.

my soldiers never use there knife, I click on the soldier, go to use equipment, click on knife, and click on the soldier I want them to knife. they instead walk up to the soldier and punch them, am I doing something wrong or is it a bug. This has happened about 3 times and every time I get 1-2 soldiers killed and I am compromised. I like the game but atm stealth kills arent possible and It is getting tons of my higher ranking soldiers killed.

@JacobB2187, yeah, it's hard to find VC but if you go on the official website (this is like ~2 updates behind) you can find the newest version & it would help with finding VC on hunter killer missions.
@SolarWalrus, 0 idea what you're on about these "save files". I don't think Urb can update the Kong version due to the 20mb max upload.
Go play on the official website as it get's automatically updated.
Pretty much guys, the Kong version is on 1.3, on the website, it's 1.5b & has more features n stuff, check it out

Map is huge and fights are rare, I got a mission to kill 8 soldiers, couldnt find them after like 4 night day cycles (probably 2-3 hours irl) so I dust- off. are the vietcong always this hard to find?

Save files don't even work on this game. I can shut my computer down for an update, come back and everything I worked hard for is gone. I don't have the same issue with MnB2. Fix your save program.

Started a new game, got a recon mission for 16% of the map, with no intel. Huey drops my squad in the middle of a NVA regiment. (Not joking.) Squad gets 35+ kills before some random NVA rookie tosses a grenade on three of them, and drops the last one with a single shot.
I love this game.

man, i swear im cursed. ive had the system crash, a baby restart the computer, the mouse clicked by itself, then the window jst closed, and thats just today.
