VasantJ made an announcement about it even i don't remember where, that he is doing it so that the detective stuff comes back. People were asking for that and he did it. MC is still in work and so is MA. The chronicles is independent detective stuff.

Medieval Chronicles is independent of the Medieval Cop series. The Main story is still going. :)
