I can't help but be amused by the moniker "badge gremlins", given as if the people who have played on the site religiously are some kind of problem to be weeded out. Like, we're the people who play anything and everything offered up by Kong...even the drudgery, the frustratingly annoying slogs. I miss badges that were actually a challenge of skill instead of a challenge in patience for bad experiences.

@Balbanes: It is rather silly to misrepresent what people are saying (especially spamming it multiple times in the same comment section). People aren't saying we should be in charge. But when something that earlier was usually a quick 5-10 minute game to play during break or something suddenly turns into watching a glorified cutscene for 20-30 minutes people are going to react to it. If it happened now and then I doubt much people would mind, but when it happens every single week people do tend to get infuriated by it.

Credits to KongHack, the only real savior:
Open the developer tools (F12)
Open Console
Use dropdown to select gameiframe(index.html)
Paste and press enter:
kongregateAPI._services.stats.submit("start",1)
kongregateAPI._services.stats.submit("complete",1)

Gonna go ahead and post the code today because it's a bit trickier. Like before, open the console on firefox and set the active frame to the game's iframe (upper right corner of the console). Now, start a new game and while the text about blah blah something devil is rendering, type (or copypaste) $gamePlayer.reserveTransfer(10, 0, 0) and hit enter. This must be done before the arrow appears on the bottom of the screen to advance. Then, when the arrow appears, DO NOT advance normally. Next, type $gameMap._interpreter.terminate() and hit enter. Now advance. If you did it right, the music should change and Dregg should start talking. If not, no worries it'll loop and you can try again. Or restart the game. Anyway, while Dregg is talking, just spam page down to get through the nonsense. You'll have some choices to deal with, but here's the answers in order: Rumors, Kill him, First, Receipts, Tira, Infuriated, Boris, Tira, Farmer, Completely covered, Hallucinate.

Kongregate doesn't support any more games, but the odd thing is that the owners just bought Ninja Kiwi, which means they're still somehow interested in getting new web games?

If you want to finish this game to get the badge, but don't want it to take too long, don't worry. This game took me 19 minutes to finish with a walkthrough (https://moshimushi.net/2020/04/25/medieval-chronicles-skybound-part-1-walkthrough) and skipping all text. I could probably have finished it in 15 minutes if I didn't write 2 comments while playing the game.

@norcekri Just hold page down to quickly go through text and folow the walkthrough https://moshimushi.net/2020/04/25/medieval-chronicles-skybound-part-1-walkthrough/

This game series is divisive. You either love it or hate it. It's either one of the best games ever. A life changing experience. 5/5 Or it's trash. Boring game with lots of text. 1/5

The problem is not that the games suck, it is that the greedy developer does not share them on some RPG maker platform but on popular kongregate. Kong has badges and now people are forced to play this bullshit. We are not an RPG maker community - if everbody would to this kong would be stuffed full with inferior games.

Got entirely put off by the writing errors in the intro.
Didn't bother to play. If the intro story line is that sloppy in presentation, I'm not sticking around to see what the rest of the game is like.

FYI: Doesn't load on Safari, but works fine on Firefox (I know this is probably a very small proportion of people effected)

Good lord, I played Chronicles 11 on NewGrounds and I thought it was exaggerating a bit, but comments here are still full of badge gremlins :D

@VasantJ Why don't you gzip your resources to send them across. They all are downloaded at an extremely slow pace because they are downloaded in a queue with a lot of wait time since files are small. Gzip, send everything and unzip!

It's these little bite-sized chunks of logical deduction, mixed as they are with a madcap sense of humor and a chaser of occasional absurdity mixed with sinister undertones, that reminds me what the RPG Maker suite's really capable of.

Whenever I play the games from this series I feel like I am reading a Dilbert comic strip set in medieval times instead of the present. Anyone else feel that way?

I'm not jealous of my Sunday self when I have to play this boring game for the BOTD. It's a chore for me. Not a fun experience. I'm ready to open a walk through and hold down page down for every conversation.

I love how the opening has "God" capitalized, even though it says, "a God," as opposed to "God," in which case it would be lowercased, but when the guy thanks God, it's lowercase.

Why doesn't "anger" work for hiding the fact that you have a good hand? Someone with a bad hand could potentially be angry.

From character profiles after clicking polly, "Polly will die from Wife's pudding." . I assume you forgot to edit that part xD because that was the same one from the other medieval chronicles.

This game and Wolf's Bane 2 will forever be the most recently badged games on this site. They'll appear in the banner when you mouse over "Achievements" at the top of the page forever. Kudos to VasantJ for occupying 2 out of 3 of the spots! :)

Wow. I love young Polly. And the guy acting as the dead body. Dregg keeps provoking him. lol. I especially loved the fact, that i thought that Professor Armin was a girl till Dregg mentioned his wife
