I haven't played a game for 1.5 months because I own most BOTDs. Some people are angry about getting Medieval Chronicles/Cop/Shorts BOTDs, but play them once and get easy badges forever. Or use the trick from the comment below.

UPD: got it! Updated badge guide for Chrome:
- Hold down Spacebar/PageDown to skip dialogue until you get to the part where you can walk.
- Press F12 to open the page code
- Press Ctrl+Shift+C and click on the game window
- Use the Console tab and paste the following:
$gameMap._interpreter.pluginCommand("KongAPI", ["submit", "complete", 1]) - 5
- Congrats on the badge!

@puglover123: This is a BotD (again) because Kongregate decided to stop allowing new games, didn't work with Supernova or some other group to get Flash programs to continue working, so we're now cycling though maybe 50-200 different badges for BotD instead of the thousands of badges that are on Flash games and hundreds if not thousands of badges on HTML games if Kongregate started allowing new games again.

I had a bug.
Even though "I had all the tip", I didn't get to progress. Had to present the book to everybody all over again before I got to progress.

As with most of these medieval games.
You can skip playing by using the code:
$gameMap._interpreter.pluginCommand("KongAPI", ["submit", "complete", 1]) - 5)
in the Console. On chrome I have to delete the last ) or it wont work.
If you dont know how to get to the console hit F12 and use the frame selector to select the game in your browser.
It worked on the main menu no need to load the game for me.

@Balbane. I love adventure games, I love detective games. I was brought up on the Maniac Mansion, Zak McKracken and Monkey Island Games. They had LOTS of dialogue. But they were entertaining and interesting, not just waiting for it be over with.

Too much paging through dialogue, too many spelling and grammar errors. However, the puzzle flow was well worth the actual play time. Differentiated discovery is good: interview, examine, explore, ... please add more variety in future games.

Talk to everyone without any clue and then with each clue while holding down page down. The clues are the missing bookshelf in the top left room and then the bookshelf covering the window in the top right room. Then inspect the cracked wall with the book for the sledgehammer.

I hate that the walkthrough is barely a walkthrough at all. It just shows the answers that you have to give to the questions at the end of the game. Nothing about who to talk to or what clues you need to collect.

Interact with the garbage bin in the middle of the stairs to get the badge and talk to the man on the right stairs to give it to him and progress.

Use this walkthrough to answer the quiz: https://moshimushi.net/2016/12/25/medieval-shorts-my-best-first-worst-day-answers/

The worst part about these games isn't the maddeningly slow text and cut scenes. It's that the entire "game" is a quiz at the end to make sure you didn't hold Page Down to skip it.

I dont know why it make me feel sad but the fact that grandma dinning room only have 1 chair, (which is most likely for Amber) mean they dont have lunch together due to the fact there only 1 chair next to the table ;-;

Dimension debate, heavenly fairy
Well at least that is what Google tells me what Parmian Vaadvivad, Swargiya Pari means

They got rid of chatrooms to accommodate all the dialogue in these games. Eventually there will be nothing left but these games.

Like always, there's a nice walkthrough available on moshimushi.net. https://moshimushi.net/2016/12/25/medieval-shorts-my-best-first-worst-day-answers/

Save often because these kind of games can crash. I'll find out later today if this one crashes too. Although if you're skipping through the dialogue, you can go through it much faster after a crash.

Medieval Shorts para la medalla :-(. Si hay un juego que no me gusta que me obliguen a jugar por la medalla es este u.u

@LosD, *sigh* yes (for the millionth person on this series) it's a detective game; they're texty by their very nature.

Effing hell. I guess I'll have to use some of the weekend to get the shiny companion, I'm not doing yet another endless dialog game.

...Hang on, where did everyone go during the wrap up scene? Are people just using windows instead of doors these days?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
There is an issue during the investigation with the "Dusty Hammer" clue. You can progress to the debate segment without ever finding this clue.

Not too bad, except for the loong typing time, which sorta ruins it for fast readers, one click too many any you lose storyline. A couple of mistakes (including in the names) sometimes, which is also... odd, in a text-based game

Amber: I hope I'm not going to be late for the opening ceremony
Me: *frantically clicking every clickable thing*. What ceremony?

Well, according to google translate, Pariman Vaadvivad, Swargiya Pari is Gujarati for "Dimensional Debate, Heavenly Fairy". Do you speak Gujarati, VasantJ?

2nd place for most times completed: 31.
1st place for most times completed: 9,223,372,036,854,775.
Me: Well that escalated quickly.

@syylone I talked to Lily about the boy first, then the game told me I needed more clues. Then the game told me "you have gathered all of the clues regarding the boy, you can ask Lily again about him" when I got all the clues. It was pretty intuitive in my opinion, maybe you did things in an unintended order?
