I don't really like TDs where the basic towers become so obsolete so fast. After you flak cannon you feel unstoppable. It's cheaper then Artillery and targets air enemies. Laser is absolutely worthless, does virtually nothing and isn't even worth spending research points. Bank is pointless, the passive income too, when you actually have a reserve to spend on non-damage towers, you don't need that extra cash anymore.

Check the Research bar please, as my upgrades still go away between missions. I've run the game for the first time, so it is not a browser cache.

Your update didnt fully fix the research economy towers. Now that i have them unlocked any time i try to build them on a different level the economy tower at least literally does nothing.

Just started playing... on lvl1 hard mode clicking "retry" refills my research points while keeping the previously researched items researched.

That is one thing I noticed, what ghost mentioned. It seems if you can only afford 1 upgrade, and click 'max upgrade' it will upgrade it once, but take away the cash for the next upgrade up as well without giving you that upgrade, leaving you with a negative money value. Really sucks on those towers with upgrades that cost 100-300.

Also, you shouldn't need a button to cancel building mode, since you could have it automatically cancel building mode and focus on an existing tower to be upgraded when that tower is clicked on.

It appears that the researched elements that go away are the bank and research buildings. I haven't had any researched combat towers go away between levels.

For the dev: as others have mentioned the bank tower on page 2 disappears between levels (haven't checked the others)
also during a level I hit the buy max upgrades button for the right upgrade tree on one of the sniper units and somehow ended up with -3 cash :P

Along with the other things said, I do believe that Mission 4 could use some revamping on the difficulty jump on the 4th or 5th wave.

I'm going to have to disagree with Acebladewing. The only things that get reset are the Bank, Research Lab, and Upgrades. You can figure that out in one round. Research points are pretty much pointless after the first few levels, save for spending them on these temporary 1 level buffs. He should perhaps specify that they only last the round, but it's not something I'm going to go and lower my rating by a whole star (or more) over.

1> The playability is nice enough. But you have to do something about tower placing / cancelling: a lot of TD games have already figured this out by having the player press shift while placing a tower to place multiple units. 2> The level designs are overly simplistic: after playing for a while there are no interesting path designs, it's all straight lines and 90. angles. 3> It needs balancing: as it is now just spamming and upgrading plasma cannons can win easily any level. Also, the enemies aren't so special either, you only have some flying and splitting monsters, and then annoyingly armored ones. (all of which fall miserably before the plasma cannon) 4> Overall: I liked the aesthetics and gameplay, you are up to a nice game, keep working on it! ;)

Love the game, exactly what you say it is. A good old fashioned TD. With that said, rating it 4/5 for two things. A: I really want a hot key for the Cancel Tower button, hot keys for everything would be nice but that is (IMHO) needed, B: Not being 100% clear on which upgrades are permanent and which are not. Fix those two things, and 5/5.

research becomes pretty useless by around mission 5, it's extremely easy to win that mission and it's long enough to net you like 5k research a go .

There isnt really a point in making the upgrades and few tower unlocks reset every level when you realize that the research point persistence has made it so that i could easily go back to an easy, early level, then simply generated a few hundred research points easily.
Or, if i did what i did in later levels, use my few hundred research points, buy the research lab, and the upgrades for cash generation and research generation, drop down a few plasma cannons, then alternate between dropping labs and cannons (and upgrading said cannons) throughout the level. And then, boom. By the end of the level ive got another 2000 research points.

should make escape key the hot key for canceling towers or when done placing them. its easier and faster than clicking cancel tower button every time.

Good TD with lots of potential, but it has serious balance issues. Flamethrowers and Plasma Cannons are everything we need to destroy every single wave in every single mission...

Some of the upgrades aren't working. And they seem to sporadically not work. Like the passive cash gain works, but not every time. Some times I receive no cash gain at all as time goes by. Same with the research gains, the one for RP gain per kill doesn't seem to work everytime.

Step to win 3 stars everywhere :
- start by constructing boomers and upgrade them to the max.
- You should have at least 200 research point at the end of each match, when you start next lvl, invest them directly in the two upgrades for research points.
- When possible, buy artillery, then start all levels with it and upgrade them to max then buy new ones, etc...
- You can add some boomers with slow upgrade to help you.

The easiest solution at the beginning is to manage to get the artillery, start levels with one, upgrade it to the max then continue to create artillery, during this you can stock research points and pass through the harder levels. Simple has hell ^^

Sorry, not telling the player which upgrades are permanent and which are temporary gets you a much lower rating than you would otherwise.

Seems promising so far, but the fact that some upgrades go away between levels and the player has no warning of this gets you an eyebrow raise - unless it's just a glitch.

This game have everything i want and i hope it get badges this have no premium and once unlockable things not too hard and nice upgrading system really love it! only thing i miss is achievemts.

One problem (unless it was intentional) that I can see thus far is that the "Upgrades" purchased on the third page of the unit menu are not permanent. Same goes for the Funds Tower (2nd page). Kind of a waste of research points if you have to do it on each level.
