For those curious about how to play this with SuperNova SWF Enabler plug-in, use this address provided below by copying the entirety of it and pasting it onto the address bar at the top of your browser to ensure that it bypasses the ‘GameShell’ issue that have plagued many earlier games of Kongregate: supernova://play/?swfurl=https://assets.kongregate.com/gamez/0017/4579/live/CaribbeanAdmiral.swf?kongregate_game_version=1443833334 Make sure that your latest installation of SuperNova works correctly, as it will not function if it cannot load games that can work fine without this bypassing of the SWF files here (Used Google Chrome dev tools to get the link).

I've played this game many times over the years and I gotta say: This is one of the best flash games ever. Nay, one of the best games ever. It has great graphics and art, a great turn-based fighting system, and a bunch of ships to choose from. I also love the lore and how the story goes down. It only lacks longevity. I guess VOGD thought it might have gotten to repetitive or was taking too long as a project, but I would have really loved to see more from this game. The second game isn't nearly as intriuging, but was still good. Spectacular work. I have put hours of my life into it, and I don't regret it. 10/10 game, especially for the time. Stupendous work VOGD.

@starsm would not be surprised. Never supported Unity myself. Too many problems. Kinda like how Col. Sanders from Spaceballs put it. "She's gone from suck to blow." Always. @saber, Rice, and others: odds are that if you can make it 50% to the way 50 kills achievement and send in a cap, that proves you've made the easy badge. Simple math guys. It's not hard, even if Kong is being dead stupid.

Even if an item is 1 gold off its normal price it's listed as a "good price". For me Rum sells at max 5000, Gunpowder 24000, Silver 12000 - 14000, Bananas 300, Coffee 1600... I hope these figures help people buy and sell profitably

Why do some random ships with 600 HP show up near the end of the game? They aren't even on the map and the battle randomly starts when I'm trying to sail to another city.

This game seems to have a bug where you cannot attack and losing results in losing lots of gold that you need to grind up a bigger fleet

Unity was discontinued about 5 years ago; now it runs with no problem but FLASH is dead... Mark my words: in 2026 you'll be able to run flash but not HTML5... Smh

To all users who are wondering how to still access these old Flash Games even after Flash is now gone. Kong is now running a new Flash Player called 'SuperNova SWF' It's free and easy to download and load up all your old-time favorite games! By the way, this is a great game. Historically based on true tales. 4/5.

Not only another flash-game. I wonder on a daily basis if Kong is being sponsored by Supernova and Chrome. I am a Firefox-user and I do not like Chrome. And tried it (as I tried supernova) and the result was the same black screen as I am getting here.

The game is great. Reminds me of Tradewinds. It would be nice to add some story line to the game, quests and so on. Also add character's as captains to give specific buff.

Well, the game is awesome, but let me explain some things to the new players. When your at low health on a boat, that boat cannot use certain attacks, therefore, if your entire crew is low hp, you cannot make a move. Also, when you go into a fight in a city, the stuff sold in the city you had before that one, can give you a sense of what the levels are like. So if something costs, say thousands of gold, then the ships level in the next city is probably a little over the middle of the ship tree.

in every second battle, the enemies turn never ends. I have APs, I have multiple fully functioning ships, yet, all I can do is retreat or end my turn without having done jack

Port order:
San Pedro (start)
Cancun
Pinar
Montegro
Port au Prince
San Juan
Dominica
Panama
Fijo
Caracas
Attack with cash in hand and use powder or dynamite for an unfair advantage

Fun game, the trade system seemed a bit repetitive (buy, sell, travel to another island, repeat), and there was a fair bit of grinding to get the AP.

"The Flying Dutchman sacrifices a red-haired woman every year for immortality but that's okay because my sister had dyed red hair so he must be vulnerable" - the writer must be so heartless!

The trade concept in this game was invented for what eventually became an idle game...the huge problem is that it's not an idle game. So, you're actually having to perform the mundanity that idle games do for you automatically.

This is like 0.6 version, I'm waiting for the completed version. The indicators of what's selling for high/low prices on towns is wrong at least 20% of the time. I just was forced to attack a town that I didn't click on, but rather a ship that was generally in the same vicinity - brutal bug that cost me starting from scratch. Coming back from losing a ship or several is horrificly grindy. The ship upgrade mechanism is poorly conceived. And upgrading ships that you're going to eventually sell is asinine, why would I? Only to continue the grind. Decent start, good high level concepts, but needs a lot more thought. 2/5

needs a part 2, after u beat dutchman you get his ship. add ships from pirate of the Caribbean and ships from history and expand this game, great game no replayability tho

Attacking crew increases the chance of a successful boarding, attacking sails lowers enemy AP, and I think attacking hull destroys the enemy ship faster.

By far my favorite game to play on Kongregate.Fantastic job on your creation of this game.I played this years ago and thought there was another part but can't find it.Thanks again.

feels a wee bit too grindy. endgame just ended being waiting for higher level ships t pop up and then one-shotting them with dynamite hull shots to get some war points

Am I missing something? When I change to my smaller ships to sell them, there's no way to get back my bigger ship? I have to buy another one and upgrade it all again?
