And then 4 hours went by as I mastered the game and played some more for fun. Haven't had one of those in a while so thank you and well done!

Definitely a good game. I have a few suggestions:
1. Make the menu easier to access (took me a while to see that I needed to drag the menu down to access larger ships)
2. If I start the attack I should have the element of surprise and attack first (i.e. I get the first turn). If the enemy attacks me first then they should have the element of surprise and attack me first (i.e. they get the first turn).
3. Scaling is a little wack (not bad, just odd) - the time cost/reward for the higher ship(s) makes it worthless to acquire because you can win with the 2nd- and 3rd-best ships.
4. Tutorial for what the specific attacks do (actually, this one might already be there, but I could have missed it). Boarding seems purposeless in terms of cost/reward.

Fun game. Much better than tradwinds (which is a rip-off of Taipan for the Apple 2!). I like the strategy involved in the naval battles and the trading is secondary to the battles.
More unique upgrades would be good. Do this quest and get a special cannon, etc...
Great job developer!

Very Nice. Can be a bit grindy at times. Sometimes I'm spending a lot of time trading just to afford my next ship. A small adjustment to prices and/or incomes might take a bit of the edge off that. Nice graphics, nice sound, very well done, and a pleasure to play.

It's odd that capturing a ship intact and sinking it both give the same reward and cargo bonuses. Any chance of giving a bonus for a clean capture? Ransom money for remaining crew? Option to auto-upgrade to vessels you've defeated?

Good Game, very addictive but it can be even better i think.
It's a bit of a shame that you only chase the ghost ship and when you get it the game is over. There could be sperate storylines setting mini-goals. For instance free a certain settlement or supply a cetain settlement with a set quantity of certain goods. Trading is ony used in thebeginning now, once you get a decent ship there is no need to trade. Taking stuff from other ship should have a conseqence, maybe you get raided back more, or loose contact with settlements that are angry at you.. just some loose ideas. The interface is sometimes not very clear, buying better ships.. took me a long time to discover the pull down system in that menu..it's a shame that you can't skip the opening tutorial story thingy and the battle system is easy to miss. I think a lot of people just use the standard quick shot and don't understand why sometimes they an not shoot at all. Still, a very good game, like it !

ummm, I have 3 ships of the line, all max upgraded for combat, and I can't kill the "Black Pearl" when firing dynamite for every singe shot. Damage, Accuracy, and Hull are all maxed out too on star point upgrades.

You quickly get to a point where the expense of dynamite is less than the expense of repair for not using dynamite -- around enemy level 16 or so. After this, you don't trade, you just kill kill kill.

wow! i didnt know that you can drag to access bigger ship and i only have the 2nd ship and it completed the game all the way till the last island.

like travel between continets... n stuffs... this game needs to be upgraded, and to be a bit more harder. all tho,I've had a great time with it :)

DO NOT randomize who starts in your next game.
I don't want the stronger enemy taking a HUGE bite out of me before I can even act! That is why most sensible RPGS start with you getting the first move against boss monsters!
The flip side is annoying too. Weaker boats get to shoot me up a bit before I kill them, forcing me to repair. I don't know about "balanced", but it's FAIR this way.

If you click on retreat before it is your turn, you will retreat at the end of the enemy's turn. When buying upgrades, you don't have to buy the weaker upgrade first. Go for the war ships, fighting earns enough money to pay for cannon balls. Destroying ships earns just as much as boarding them. If you click on the map button before finishing salvaging, you don't get any money or cargo.

I hate how the game lets the weaker side go first. This way, tougher enemies are actually easier to kill. Perhaps change it so weaker ships go first? dunno.

the fact you practically hid the other ships to buy I am giving you a 1/5....seriously wtf...had to read the comments to see if there is some luck way of winning with only the second ship...

this game is super wonky. needs some numbers tweaks and a good explanation of the mechanics. why should someone value crew over hull or vice versa? why should someone aim deck over sails or vice versa? etcetc... fun concept, if a bit bland, but the lack of readability decreases the value of the game so much. 3/5

suggestions: be able to somehow see the attack power of the town, quests to earn some money, more areas, pretty much just enhance or add more:) got a great game, hopefully a sequel will see improvements eventually.

you should change the difficulty of Potoprins. it is too hard to defeat the ships. it would be better if the last town its the hardest.

So i have five gold and all my ships are down... cant enter a battle cause it tells me ive lost before ive tried, and i cant repair or buy anything to trade cause i only have 5 gold. saved all the cities and im looking at the ghost ship.. guess i have to restart to finish :(

Found two bugs. 1. Cliper ship does more damage, per shot, than Line ship when damage shows 400 for Cliper and 440 for line. 2. Might be intentional but if you click the map button after battle instead of waiting for salvage you don't get any gold or WP which just forces people to have to wait.

Few things - 1. Go to awards section, bottom left of town to upgrade various attributes using stars. 2. You can scroll the change ship tree. 3. If the ship you last used got destroyed click on another ship on your next round otherwise it'll "seem" like u can't do anything that round. 4. Fight constantly as ships come in range and focus on using WP to change ships rather than upgrading because WP is sort of scare. 5. Trade frequently between fights you'll need to have enough money for best ships, best upgrades, and using dynamite every turn to win the game. 6. Obviously stick with right side of ship tree other side is overpriced and focused on trading which won't win you game. 7. Up arrow means buy, down means sell. 8. If you unlock multiple upgrades on a ship buying the last upgrade on the line also buys you the previous upgrade and saves u monies.
