Guess it was just about getting the luck in the last fight - same ship's same moves dominated the 3rd time with 2 ships spare - 2 times before that it still had 8000-10000 hp

This version really has a hard boss. With maxed out ships of the line and dynamit it was straight forward but still a tough fight. Did not manage without maxed out health and damage. Money is not a problem when you go straight for the ships of line, they take a long time to research and cost relatively little.

Before you attempt the final boss, save up several hundred thousand (at least 250,000) so you can use the 5,000 dynamite ammo for every shot. You won't survive otherwise

Good game only thing I don't like is the enemy leveling with me. Sure have a few high level opponents around but at least have a few lower levels to have a bit of fun with

Now that we got the pirates out of towns shall there be second game which you play as a pirate leader, raiding areas back. After getting town under control you get money reward as "Booty" and you could steal money from villagers to gain more money, but you steal too much they get angry at you and send rebel ships to take you down. The final boss could be the caribbean legendary admiral that took down the invunrable ghost ship. I would surely play it as much as I do play this:D 5/5

is there any way to reset the game? all my ships are broken i have 0 gold and every pirate is too hard for me to fight with broken ships. Guess im done with this game.

Hey could the boarding % be more visible. I sometimes can't see the number on middle one correct as the bottom ship is on the way.

Although the concept is really nice and I enjoyed playing this game for a while, it really lacks any balance in anything it promotes.
At the beginning, your objective in combat will be to be weaker than your opponent (in theory, so that you can hit them first and kill them in one turn without being hit)
In economy, when you reach high cargo capacity, buying something anywhere makes the price rocket there. So just buy something in A, go to B, then back to A and sell. Total profit for moving things around and bringing them back home can be up to 100% of the original price of whatever you bought.
This might need a little tweak.
And with all that gold you'd expect to be able to buy a whole fleet to defeat the flying Dutchman, but no, you're just condemn to watch it destroy a fully upgraded (with in-game achievement and maxed too) ship of the line every turn and obliterating you in 3 turns.
Trully a nice concept, but complete lack of any balance make this game awful.

On the text of Phoenixforce, you can get better change to win boarding if you shoot the crew first if someone didn't get the point . You also could note that when you sell gargo that you bought from other place the number (x) means how much you win from the orginal price. Also, if you attempt to board other ship and end turn before boarding is over they will shoot even if you would win that round.

Wow.... That's some buffing the ghost ship got. The first time I played this I beat it without even firing a shot (my little pirate: boarding is magic), but now I think it might be just the tiniest bit too far the other way.
I have 3 ships-of-the-line with all upgrades, and all the star upgrades bought and even with dynamite I can't get the ghost ship even to half it's health. And for some reason while fighting the ghost ship most of my shots miss entirely even with all the accuracy stars. ¬_¬

it would be cool if the cities were ranked by dificulty, i went to panama early and then the next few towns seemed easier

For those complaining about not being able to attach despite having AP. Guys: You need crew to attack. The ship alone is useless :)

Best way to get WP is getting one Clipper/Ship of the Line on center and two Skiffs on the side. That way with the Dinamite you shall be able to hunt Lv10+ pirate ships one shot without getting attacked first.

shouldnt a more expensive ship give BETTER damage? And why make us buy stuff in sequence, in reality you'd just buy (or hijack) the best ship possible

when you buy alot of something from one port, its prices skyrocket, and when you sell alot of something to a city, the prices plummet. Easy way to make money, buy huge quantities of one item and trade it back and forth. got over 9 mill in like 5 trips with best merchant ships.

I try to beat boss again and again but simply impossible I could beat once 1/15 try so NERFHAMMER please. 25k Hp would be more than enought.

Well finished game, but the boss was really hard actually I bought the best ship/ researched it used even dinamit still took abaut 10 try to beat it. U can ONLY win if the dutchman targets more ships at a time if it targets 1 ship u are doomed cos in 2 round or even 1 it destroy ur ship and firepower and chance to win gone.

I've already taken 10 ports but it says there is one more and I want to get to it to win! Where is the mysterious 11th port?!?!? But the game so far has been great and I lost a few hours of sleep last night playing! good stuff!

flash crashed just after I had beaten the first city, and I didn't get the reward or the story progression. I didn't think much of it that time, but as a result the story lagged behind and the last city was considered city 9 (can't get the compass because there's no hostile city left.)

Maybe you should fix the way you sell the ship for full value or change the way the achievement towards it is working. Thanks for the +5 achievement stars right from the start! I'm just saying.

this game is bullshit, it cost more money to repair your ships then you get when you fight. It take years to actually earn money buy going port to port and you can't advance tot the next port unless you have the best ships in the game
