anyone have a good config for non-casual level 12? I've tried like 20 different ways, but n matter what I do the trolls or orcs smash everything I own

Hard, lots of grinding. Decent animations and gameplay, I like being able to put the towers where ever I want. The return on kills is on the low side.

Suggestions: 1. Way to save the game without relying on cookies 2. Additional initial towers, two doesn't leave enough room for different strategies 3. Reduces grinding, though most maps are not that difficult once you figure out a working strategy (which is the same for 90% Of the maps by the way)

These upgrades seem like a joke. They are the tiniest increments I've ever encountered. Granted they also are very cheap, but still... it seems insulting to make me pay anything for an upgrade so small it will never be noticed.

Games that won't let you go full screen or at least zoom in with your browser are ancient relics of a time long ago. One star rating just for that.

too grindy. Please make a dif way to increase the starting gold insteadof the archievements, this just takes way too long to progress in the game.

Some big problems with this game. I am in essence stuck on mission 9. Here is my problem. Being able to place towers on the path is cool and innovative. Having giant monsters every single stage after the halfway point takes all of that away. This is dumb, counterintuitive, and a cheap way to make us replay something 11,000 times until we find the ONE exact setup that works. That isn't creative, or even fun. That is a puzzle game, not a tower defense. Puzzles don't take 40 mnutes per try either. 1/5

Game has potential but lacking in areas. One thing that really bothers me is that you can upgrade the lower 'tier' of a character and this isn't reflected in the leveled up version. It should be that if you upgrade the Archer's damage that the Longbowman gets at least that much damage increase as well.

way to hard, way to grindy... replaying a lvl a few times is okey but this game just replaces tactics by grinding... 1/5 sry

sometimes upgrading a tower costs x2 and there's a little pink(ish?) arrow next to it - so far for me i have not been able to figure when this happens or what effect it has, it would be nice to know....

This is a TD that became more of a grindfest than actual strategy, I wouldn't have mind this if weren't for the fact that you lower the gem rewards each time we play the mission and the fact that coins we start with can only be increase by fulfilling achievements which, again if we want to be able to create a good strategy for the next map onward, need to grind on lower levels. Yeah, this is not good balance...

There is clearly a cost problem about the upgrades of the towers, it forces the player to constantly repeat the same games again, again and again making the game definitivelly boring and deadly repetitive: transforming a challenge into a cemetry. RIP.

are you serius? the skelletons are way to tanky. i cant get pass the fifth lvl without grinding for 3 hours or what?
i dont know this shit is....

There seems to be too much space on the maps for the game to be actually be fair without having to grind. Creating choke points is prohibitively expensive, which can cause you to lose, or you don't make choke points and lose faster. I'm with the others that would like the game balanced better.

Levels 10 and 12 are very hard (12 is almost impossibile: you have to guess the PERFECT layout). Instead Lv13 is a piece of cake (also on hard). It's disappointing. So, please, make Lv13 harder, especially on hard.

Tip: It takes some grinding to get enough crystals to upgrade your units very much. You'll likely have to fail some missions, and collect crystals from those failed attempts, in order to level up (or else replay old missions). So if you're about to lose, DON'T restart or exit the mission - let it play out and get killed so you can collect the crystals.

Good game. You actually need all units to complete everything. The trick with path-blocking on later levels is, that you need to have ONE 2x2 blocks wide free path. Every other path you can close with towers.

No a bad game, but very hard on the normal level. I would suggest to use the "casual mode" as normal difficulty level, and the current normal mode as a "hard mode". this way you would get better ratings, as the game would be less frustrating. 3/5

This gae ges way too hard past the Graveyard. Skeletons and onward have way way way to omany hps, you are attacked from all sides, and have extremely limited places you can place to boot. Too restrictive, this becomes "restart and play 100 times until you figure out exactly how you have to play each level" which isn't fun. No wiggle room means no fun.

Just a minor thing, but the unlocking order of the units makes no sense ;) For example, the "Pass of Ghosts" level description hints that ghosts are immune to arrows. Ok, better unlock the sniper unit in that level then... next level, "City of Spiders" it says that the Spider Queen is immune to ice. Well, lets unlock the frost mage now. And then, in "Shaman's Abode", it says "use snipers", and it unlocks the mortar for you. :D

very nice game ! i never had to grind a single level. Only tries and fails were enough to get what needed and the next doable level. Nice to see a well balanced and hard tower defense.

It would also be great to be able to hover over a feature in the beastiary, and see a description, example: Evading Arrows: 25% chance to dodge arrow attacks? (Not sure which attacks these are myself though, maybe only the archers attacks?)

It's silly that when I get the acheivement for 2 starring a level, I don't get the acheivement for 1 starring a level.

ppl this game is perfectly ballanced. u just need to do some math with armor and towerdmg.
goblins can be dmgd by everyone.
goblin warriors can be dmgd by everyone, but they avoid projectiles. they cant avoid explosiondmg.
orcs cant be dmgd by archer. normal mage is MORE effective then tier2.
spiders cant be dmgd by archers.
skeletons cant be dmgd by archers and ice mages. fireball and frostmages r most effective.
against giant spiders u will need at least catapult, sniper or tier 3 mage.
to kill shaman u will need fireball mage, sniper or explosiondmg.
same for troll and oger.
orc champ and lich can only be dmgd by sniper and mortar.
some times u have to work ur way around armor with spells and crowd control.
ice and frost mages can freeze enemies. freeze lowers armor of enemy to 10%, so that even archers can do dmg. thats why freeze spell is the strongest and 1-3 frost mages r must have late game.

perfect game!
awsome work.
but please do some bugfixes for GUI. unit selection, spell and unitbars r bugging out sometimes.
and a shortcut for unit upgrade would be nice. but thats not so important.

NOW I understand. if you want to have a path without damage to your forces you need to leave a ''2 square'' space to get to your archirmage: you can´t hide him with units after the forceshield it's broken.

This game lacks good balance. Basic archer towers are weak, basic mage towers are too expensive. Gold for calling a wave early is a tired game mechanic which serves to punish people who make the intelligent choice of not taking on too much at once. Overall this type of game has been done before and done better. 2/5.

(continued from last comment) The text on the levels kinda covers it, but not enough. A storyboard at the beginning and end would add a LOT to the experience. Nothing happened at the end, which was disappointing. A final boss would have been nice, too. Autopausing, "M" for "Mute", and "P" for "Pause" would be nice, as well as being able to go back to the main menu. (continued in next comment) But, back to good things - I like the strategy involved, where you can create a trail or maze the enemy has to follow, as long as you don't block them off (on that note, the towers should be able to heal; upgrading that could be good for a General upgrades category). A very powerful tool. The coin system with achievements is awesome. / So, overall, a really solid tower defense game. Keep up the great work, and Godspeed. Oh, and two thumps up on Gura_UK's comment.

Just beat it. I reverted to casual mode near the end because it just...got a bit much. X-D Anyway, great game - stellar music, graphics, and gameplay. Great units and upgrade system (though I think there should be more upgrades; General Perks might be a good category, plus the Archmage seems a bit weak). The intro thingies on the levels are nice. Great main menu art. / The downsides are that it's too hard and time consuming (grindy), however, the positive traits were so strong that it's worth it. An even bigger downside, actually, as Casual Mode (it's not exactly what I would consider very casual, but that's OK) kinda deals with the aforementioned issue, is the lack of story.
