Also, looks like AI never uses builders (and instantly sells them if I add some through editor), even if that means getting engulfed in fires or isolated by water...

Great game! I got a few questions regarding achievements, since i've been reading comments about them and trying to get them unsuccessfully. Earth 1 - i can only have 2 units, no farms and no towers? If so, it might be too tough for me. I did it with 2 units and towers, but didn't get achievement. Complete Flight 4 times with 4 starting capitals alive? I did it at least twice, still states 1/4. Thanks in advance.
Sorry for the LONG delay, for some reason i'm not getting Kong messages. I just tried the portal and all seems to be working. It's always possible there was an outage back in October. Again, sorry for the delay.

On 11/13/2017, Kongregate is going to go SSL for all of it's content. I suspect that GOW2 will not handle that well. If it is easy to fix I will do what I can, but it may not be possible. So, enjoy while you can, and stay flexible!
Good news everyone! It looks like the HTTPS upgrade went pretty well. There is an odd "Continue" button at the start of the game now (not sure where that came from) but other than that things all seem to work. Enjoy!

Can you please make it so that you can give feedback to others maps in a comment section, and also more customisation and the ability to make your own teams, I find myself running out of colours ;(

I love this game, especially the level editors. One awesome improvement (Idk if you're still working on it, but here's hoping!) would be the a comments section under player levels. It'd be great to be able to give/receive feedback on maps!
I appreciate the feedback, I'll add it to my list. Unfortunately I've stopped development on this project, but I do have a running list of suggestions in case I should ever consider a GOW3. Thanks again!

Greate game. I have loved garden of war for years, and years later it got a sequel. The player levels increase replayability. Also managed to sneak in a story without making it seem contrived. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for the sigh of faith PheonixLive! Regrettably GOW1&2 are written in Flash, which is being shut down. So a sequel would involve completely recreating the game. I'm not saying I won't ever do that, but it is a barrier to a sequel that will be hard to pass.

game starts to lag horribly later. How do I fix this? I have noticed it with other games as well, I would rather not reset cookies as that would reset entire in game progress....

Perhaps you could allow map makers to add a limit to how many farms are allowed or troops at one time - this makes them have more control because farms are the most op thing in this game as it can double your potential income.
A poorly worded way for me to say "Units that aren't your capital". So if you have two soldiers and your hut in the territory, you have 2 non-capital units.
Yes and no Dominqer. By the way, thank you for the ongoing support that means a lot. I have a "new" baby and I'm afraid he has pretty much destroyed my game development time. So interest, yes. Time, no. It doesn't mean it won't happen though. I'm working on little projects now but the possibility always exists to take a crack at GOW3.

If a player made map is unwinnable, you get the lowest score. I don't mind a challenge . . . . love a challenge, but a map ought to be winnable, even if it takes an hour or more to beat it.

Interesting bug with using GOW2 to play the GOW1 map "spring" (7/14/2010). After a few turns, the vile start spawning in your territory. Also, your pieces sometimes move around during the vile turn. Bombing the vile in the water seems to get rid of the effect.

A lot of luck is needed for the first level but it is beatable. (quite easy if you are offensive) just try to... you know what i will provide tips if you lose(later on that is). In the meantime, just survive doing nothing but taking easy to take lands. If you can't beat large about of raiders you can't beat the last level of my campaign which is now finished.

I created this map called "Survival Part:1" It's about surviving for 25 turns.
For blue you might win taking over the land needed for instant win. But try red if you think you could do a harder challenge.

HOWHOWHOWISITPOSSIBLE? This is such a GEM. So much depth. And I've never even saw this. It seems to be THE best strategy game on the whole Kong, and yet it is so hard to find. Why?

First off, I have a hard time putting into words how much fun the game is, so thanks for making something so great. Also want to make a suggestion, though...I felt that the natural disasters (floods, fires, volcanoes, lava rivers) appeared in the game and then vanished just as quickly before reaching their full potential. So maybe, if there will be a GOW3, let demolition units start fires, and let builders place canals for water or lava to flow through? Instead of working around natural events, use them as weapons on the battlefield?
Thanks for the suggestion TailsTheFox12. I had a lot of trouble keeping them balanced, I like the approach your suggesting. As for a GOW3, time will tell. :)

Also I like how the AI is not weaker or more powerful than you. The game is more fun when the AI has the same limitations as the player.

It would be really cool if you could make alliances/non-aggression pacts with other players. This would really change the game... maybe implemented in a GOW3???

@Chaos - On the difficulty select screen, if you go to the multiplayer tab and put in names under the two blank ones (Pink and Brown), you should be able to play the map.

I've clicked on a couple of maps and get a message like "player 6 must have a name" and I can't play the map, yet it seems to have been played. Is the creator able to log in and play and not realize nobody else can or what's the deal with those? Fix it so I can play!!! LOL

I just retried my puzzle campaign, forgot the solution for level 4 and totally stumped myself. After about 10 tries I figured it out and won. All 5 levels still work, but damn I was evil on level 4 lol. XD
