I don't think you need to add an autofire (thats what automatic weapons are for) but you do need a save function and the ability to change weapons. I know it makes it less retro and arcade-y but there are some things about old-style games that were not so good.

auto-fire, (auto)save, being able to switch guns, if you fix that you'll get a 5/5 (even tho saving isn't as important as the other 2, it has it's charms)

Please add a "Start where you left your bones" option. It's annoying to have to replay all rooms once you die.

Maybe add an "auto-fire" feature as the massive amounts of clicking make me seem more suspicious at work! :)
