for the boss on hard mode, just worry about the guys when hes on top, then keep fireing at him with an smg (does'nt matter which one) when he's on the bottom; he'll go down quick

God I hate the derringer.
I lost 90% of my health due to derringer-related mishaps.
Can you disable the derringer auto-equip somehow?

Greg the recoil doesnt ruin the game.
just dont hold down the button.
with machine guns all you have to do is tap the button repeatdly.

Good Shooter Like The Blood Keep It Up And Try To Design A game not called thing thing but start all over with a new idea

I actually like the recoil handicap, it makes it so you have to be careful when you fire. As opposed to most games where all you do is hold down the trigger. Fighting through levels over again to get bonus weapons was very fun. Over all probably my favorite online shooting game.

I prefer the first... It had a more messing around feel to it, and it had 'The Nearest Place to Heaven' playing in the outside. PSO!

great game too much recoil needs enemyguns like on thingthing
but overall i would say i could play this 3 days flatout before getting bored

Very fun (i spent 1200 kills on one level, just for the sake of it), facing the boss the second time is annoying, but overall, this is a good game with great replay value

I like this one better than the first game. Same style and all, but longer and with a little bit more of everything. My only issue was with the aiming system. Sometimes it just wouldn't hit, but it is tougher with a touchpad. Great job!

Accuracy is bloody terrible I can waste 100 rounds and not hit much at all, although recoil makes sense but theres way too much of it on the Smg and Pistol and not enuff on the shotgun, also the game except for the boss is too easy.

Very good game, love it. The levels are cool, the weapons are sweet, and the overall gameplay is cool. Definitely has replay factor. However, the extreme movement of the gun (is it recoil?) is cool at first but is extremely annoying after a while. You also need to shoot the people a lot of times before they die. However, this does make the game realistic. This game is very good, I award it 5/5.

Thing-Thing is bad-ass! I loved the character the second I saw him. But I have to agree with luvcraft. Those suggestions could make this an instant classic. Personally I don't like the mouse/keyboard setup. I've always found in games like this easier for me to use the keyboard for everything. It would be sweet if the player could set it up using whatever keys they wanted. Love the character designer!!!

I agree! This game is awesome! I think that for a shoot'em up game, this has enough diversity, i.e.: the falling level is slightly challenging, especially with the recoil effect. I thoroughly enjoyed it!

In my opinion this game is completely awesome, my custom guy has a black coat and a fedora on, and I couldn't be happier having him mindlessly shoot mobs in the face.

The engine is solid and the art style is great, but both Thing-Thing games could use a little more variety. After a few minutes the novelty of shooting stick figures in the face wore off and I just felt like I was mindlessly clicking the mouse button over and over… Fighting wave after wave of enemy soldiers IS a feasible game design, which you yourself have proven with QWERTY, but that sort of “one-shot-one-kill bad-ass” thrill is severely undermined in Thing-Thing by the fact that you have to shoot enemies in the face 4 times before they die AND have to deal with recoil, to the point that it just becomes frustrating.
It’s a great foundation, though, and I think with maybe a little more puzzle-y level design, some variety in enemy behavior, removing recoil, and ESPECIALLY one-shot kills for headshots to bring back that “bad-ass” feel, the next Thing-Thing could be the best game on the web.

Just beat story mode, the boss is pretty fun. I meant to spend only about 30 minutes playing while I was compiling something but I ended up sitting down and beating the whole game :D
