Great game, but there seems to be a bug of some sort. In the room with all the gross, pulsating organ things, There are two buttons I'm supposed to hit, one on the top level to the far right and one on the underside of the platform (above the brain thing) I've hit both of these buttons but the floor won't open up to the dore bell room.

wow this game sucks
Reasons why
- the ending or lack thereof
- there is a glitch that when you replay the game and see the father for the first time it skips to where you get the hook from him and if you go to pop fattycakes with it you can't.
( I dont know if this happens every time)
-it doesn't tell you who's talking. so at the end where bird (I think) says "i lied to you..." i had no clue. I thought I found the sister.
I found "Company of my self" and "Walking Tall" excellent representations of this "Psychological art" mini-genre but this game...

what a crappy game. no story, just some lame running around, no challenge, no skills, no choices. just some flowers moving when i pass and some birds dancing in the wind. well thats not why i play games.

Personally,i Think they(kong staff)should make a new sub category and call it flash canvas for truly graphic noteworthy games, starting with this and valthirian arc.

My controls always get stuck. For example at random points in time the character will just start sprinting to the left... Its not my keyboard either because other games work.... Otherwise looks really neat.

I agree that Kongregate should have an art house category for beautiful games like this. Maybe a Kongeregate Art Walk achievement kind of like the Pixelated achievement or the Best 0f achievements. The badge would require completing all of the art house games on Kong.

An excellent combination of art and storytelling, that helped to revive my interest in the genre. This is the most beautiful game I've played in a long while. It has a surreal feeling to it, like dream logic, and the music and graphics helped build a perfect atmosphere for each "happy" and "creepy" area of the game. Everything from the simplistic graphics with amazing detail, to the gorgeous soundtrack, to the dialogue with all its quirks and twists, makes this an utterly essential game to play. 5/5.

I'm not sure if anyone else noticed but when you are about go go ring the dore bell and you look in the reflection of the boat there is a person standing there, pretty creepy!

OK I can NOT beat this game. I got to the part where all this red stuff is, I pressed 2 switches and now where do I go?

Good game but horribly buggy. I had to replay the game 4 times to get to the ending. It froze at various points and then the final door would not open even when all switches were pressed. Great game let down by poor implementation.

I loved how you could fly at the end :)
My only complaint is I couldn't figure out what to do with the gold coin after the worm :(

This game was beautiful. It has just the right ambience and interactivity that makes it a true work of art -- in my opinion the best kind. Thank you. 5/5 and +fav.

When you start playing it, it feels like you're in a completely different, mystical world. And when the game ends, you want to stay there and never return to where you were before.

This world is Pete's dream as he is in a coma. The writing on the walls, 'Wake up Pete' represent the loved ones that are around him in reality, hoping for him to wake up from his deep sleep. Characters you meet are the loved ones of Pete, and their personalities are shown through a form of abstract art or physical appearance, like his abusive father that was never close to him during the game, instead just sitting there immobile. The mother is an unknown object in the clouds, which shows that Pete never knew her well, she died(because she is in heaven), and she doesn't want him to ring the dore bell because she knows it means death. The 'Dore Bell' is the light that people say they see when they die. The bird guides Pete to the dore bell (death), by tricking him that his sister was trapped in the basement, when she wasn't. In the end, he rings the dore bell, and he dies from the coma. The bird says he will see him soon, because he is Pete's guiding angel.

loved it 5/5, I like this genre of flash games...I call it psychological art. It reminded me of The Company of Myself..and the art reminded me of the differences games.

Really this game takes a different mind then the normal "This is so pointless it takes no skill". I think that it will bring you back the memories of the past when you were a kid and made little games or made a scenario out of just a plain spot in the grass or in sand.
