My save file got wiped just before I fought the final boss so I decided to view the ending here. I feel like I cheated myself a little.

I instantly got the bittersweet feeling after hearing the music again. I really hope theres a sequel or this even to be made into like a full game somehow. I would love to see this remastered with like improved graphics, & more to the combat instead of a linear sidescroller.

I think u're missing few things. Abot that scout fighter, Skyfish/Snail was gone anyway. we're talking about deuce not Skyfish, so back to the point. Swig was already a P-lord once, so he could easily lead one ship, and he WOULD take leadership if deuce didn't return. He didn't do this after Aurica's death only because he had someone to take it from him. Of course tht would mean he'd have to drink less but that's not much of a problem. Next thing is Iblis. It was him who caused the federaion to become agressive in the first place and after his death situation changed completly. So called Pirates won't be hunted for nothing and they don't need great soldiers or officers as much as before. Thre is NOTHING that only he can do and for wich he's REALLY needed. And finnally Solitude. I've already mentioned it but i will repeat. Mothership's crew have each other. Ginny don't have anyone on earth. If you take everything into consideretion the answer is not so obvious.

Well, NNinja, if you're asking me who needs him more, the girl he's known for to weeks, saved his life twice, and now lives in a remote part of the galaxy (we're not talking years, remember, we're talking two months tops,) or his surrogate family and crew of untold numbers who suddenly find themselves with no leadership and no scout fighters (Mare'll take off and neither Johnny or Swig'll take the mantel of leadership) the answer becomes pretty obvious. Honestly, if I were Ginny, I'd be so dang pissed of at Deuce for coming to Earth after I handed him his entire future I'd spend the rest of my days in a bitter, hateful rage. So the answer is; The Crew need Deuce more.

Starwish i loved it i think the special ending should be canon if not that then johny or swigs ending so we still have the simdate option

Stewitus-san so u're saying after all she had done for him he should just leave her to die because she was far away? If he had done that he would fell guilty for the rest of his life. He might've acomplished much but i don't think he'd have benn happy. On the other hand it;s not that he'll die with her, and i think it would be several months, maybe year, bfore she dies. Even after that he may discover and acomplish many things on earth. Tessa and the others will think he's dead, but they have each other while Ginny after landing on earth don't have anyone. Who needs Deuce more?

NNinja, you make a good point, but it just comes back to my original point; there is nothing he can do for this woman, yet he gives up everything he had ever or will ever accomplish and know for, what, a couple weeks with her? I may be old and cynical, but that kinda After School Special ending is the worst decision he could make. She'll be lonely, yes, but when the universe fails to end she'll be ecstatic to know everyone made it out alright.

"Huh? Oh, Tessa's snoring again. Why can't she ever fall asleep on her own bed? Wonder if she doesn't mind me using some of her medical tape..." ... Hopefully you'll use it for your wounds...

Stewitus-san u are little wrong. Deuce could make her Janni himself even without geting her back to mothership. Johnny knew how but starwish also knew and she COULD tell him. but the problem is that Ginny wasn't dying because of her bond with lucerna but because she cut her life twice to save Deuce. At this point Janni transformation wouldn't help her anyway so even if he wished her back to the ship (against her will i might add) she would still die. Deuce did not CHOOSE not to save her, he simply COULDN'T save her. If he could save her no matter how he would. he said it himself:" i wish i could return the life u gave me" but he simply couldn't

@windracket Millions? Really? It's good but it IS a flash game. But that's beside the point. It's not the fact that it's melancholy that bugs me, that's all well and good. Johnny's was sad and it was the best in my opinion. It's the fact that (((spoilers))) he gives up absolutely everything he's ever known for someone that'll be dead in a month. No backsies. Instead of, maybe wishing her back to the ship anyway and having Johnny make her a jinni. But he can't do that because that'll make her feel bad. Face it, ultimately he chose to let her die and be stranded on a remote planet for the rest of his life. I'd qualify that as the "bad ending."

One other fantastic RPG flash game after Mardek and Sonny series. The thing I enjoy the most are in-depth dialogues and colorful character setting. I think this masterpiece has a potential to go for an amine production.
I dare not watching Ginny's ending again. It's too beautiful and too sad!

Stewitus* I completely disagree w/ you...You only thought it was awful because how emotionally melancholy it was. I bet you that hundreds, thoudands, even millions cried at Ginny's ending. So shush you.

With all honesty I have NEVER seen anyone make such a masterpiece from a flash game. Arcade gameplay in itself is good...but the music, and most of all wonderful story gives a soul to this game. Playing it was like...reading a great book - but better.
All in all - this is the best flash game I have ever played, and with better story, than in many books I have read.
I really hope to see more games like this one, and made by the same developers. I am sure they will at least as good, as this one.

This little extra just caught my eye so I clicked on it. I like many others was instantly swept with the emotions I remember experiencing many months prior...not many games can do that to you, especially not computer games. Beatiful story, so well written.

I disagree. I 'ts certainly not the happiest ending i've seen but still... in other ending she'll die alone, forgotten, in a distant place. That sadness in other endings is hidden but still present. In that endigng she'll still die soon but she'll die happy. Besides simple "they lived happily everafter" wouldn't fit for that story. Not after what happened whith bamboo, Aurica, Gen earthwall and firebolt. Ginny's ending DOES fit the story even if it's not fully happy. Still i would like her to survive...

Am I the only one that thought Ginny's ending was awful? I mean its well written and it makes sense in the game world, but it's just such a downer ending. The only thing I could think was "Really Deuce? Really?"

i spent a good 10+ hours on starwish, and now i can watch all the endings one after the other (i beat all the ending) SQUEEEE!!!! xD i love this game! like holy shit!!! its sooo good, i love Deadeye, shes a quirky cute personallity and she actually reminds me of my IRL gf, i love you for making this, i can listen to the music of the game without being worried of dying or not xD i love you!!! xD

I just felt that I needed to say this: the word "djinni" refers only to a male, for female the word is "djinniyah" or "jinniyah". That's really my only complaint about this whole game.

Im looking for all the endings and thanks to a filter cant find them anywhere else. can someone post them here? thankyou.

I played the game one time, got one ending. This "game" just made me want to play the game all over again just to get the other endings

I loved the game. The music is full of feeling and emotion, the story is complex, which is not something you find often in online games. It was a perfect game in my opinion.

I've earned all the endings in the game (including the bonus ending) but still the cutscene viewer doesn't show all the endings. Why?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Jroll in case u don't know that is the special ending that can be seen only on hard mode.Check cutscene viewer page 5/5.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Jroll #15 is indeed a possible ending, which you can only get if you would have had all other endings in 1 single playthrough. This can only be done on hard mode, because of Neferiti's ending.

I don't think I've ever played a video game with a scene as sad as #30. I don't recall any games that have actually made me tear up, and this one had me raining from the eyes. Original game: 1/5 for gameplay. This: 7/5 for storyline. I've been hoping to find somewhere that I could watch the cutscenes without suffering through the shambled together shooter game, so thanks a million for posting this.

The music, and some of the "feel", the emotional impact of the game is highly reminicient of Final Fantasy 7. For you youngin's who weren't old enough to appreciate an RPG back in the late 90s, try and find a way to play it. FF7 is one of the few truly timeless masterpieces of the gaming genre, and if you enjoyed Starwish, I'm certain you would enjoy it as well.
