Very final-fantasy like- wonderful game. But it needs a little more narration between character dialogue, the pace can get confusing

Starwish was an amazing game story wise. It was so well written, the dialogs where really realistic. Often the characters asked the questions i had in mind. It was like reading a book with take-part action chapters.
A game with this deep story should get more attention then just some flashgame site packed with dull clicking games.

The story writing, the characters' depth and personalities, the design of everything, and the amazing music were all just amazingly put together. Great job on this! You've got a talent, sir/ma'am. Keep it up!

Probably the best game I have ever played in a long time. It has the aspects of Mass Effect, with the great dialog (which made me tear up) and the ability to have a relationship with your teammates and Contra with the multitudes of weapons, side-scrolling, and shooting. I give this masterpiece of flash gaming a 5/5, and I can't wait for a sequel.

I dont like anime too much but this game is nice, has nice graphics and plot. I'd like to design my aircraft next time if possible

A couple of comments for if you (hopefully!) make a sequel. 1) Make an autofire button! There's never any reason to not be firing so having a fire key is kind of redundant. 2) Have some sort of help menu that explains stats earlier in the game. I kept putting points into stats but I didn't really know what they did until a few missions later with Johnny explaining them to me one at a time. 3) Be careful in levels about what's foreground/background. A couple times I died and didn't know why just because I got stuck on a piece of scenery that I couldn't tell was in the foreground. This isn't helped by the fact that enemies seem to be able to move through foreground while you can't. 4) Bosses shouldn't start firing until you can damage them. It feels cheap that they can get hits off on you while they're invincible. Other than that I thought this was a pretty good effort, please make another one as I'd love to see an improved version of this.

Kickingwing, go to the main menu where to choose new game or continue and at the bottom you'll see "Game Guide" click on that and it'll open a new tab and on the left you'll see "Stats" and clicking on that will list what each stat does.. i looked right over that at first.. see my comment below :P lol

Sorry, guess I'm not a part of this game's directed audience..
didn't think it was fun. I was cringing from the dialogue. lol.

Please describe what each stats does. And If I'm missing it, then make it more obvious to find it. Usually scrolling over the word "Agility" would pop up a window explaining it's exact benefits.

I love the dialogue
Computer: WARNING, INCOMING FEDERATION SHIP!
Deuce: What?
Computer: THE SHIP IS UNDER ATTACK, YOU IDIOT!

The quiz at the beginning wasn't boring because I had to choose what life meant. Purpose to strive for new goals or there isn't life without love. I had to think about it because a life with allot of purpose to strive for new goals is really what life is. But then what would life ever be without the love for another person. In the end I found out what I really thought of this. Life cannot be without Love.

@mysticpickle: No, what makes a game great is when it is fun. I've played pixel games on this site that were a thousand times better than this. Make a great shooting game, THEN add characters and skippable dialog.

An excellent game that has kept me up far past my bed time - I'll be useless at work tomorrow :) Like others have commented - the dialogue is readable and interesting for once, and I stopped to read most of the story and it added a lot of enjoyment (and addiction). Well done and thank-you.

I don't like it much. I did persevere and played it for about 30-40 minutes (about 1/3 of this was actual gameplay, as opposed to story). The story was passable and managed to hold my interest enough for me to not skip through it, but it did sometimes feel tedious. In my opinion, and based what I have seen so far, this is not a role-playing game. I haven't had to make decisions on anything apart from which of my weapons to upgrade. I'd give it 3.5/5

After I found out you can not load your game even though it said "save & exit" I had to give 3/5
At first it was 5/5 and favorited.. not anymore :(. Wouldn't have stopped playing if I would have known that this happens! The story is just so good.

I don't like shooting games in general but the story and charecter development here made me complete it in one go! 5/5

tool tips when moused over your attributes in the skills menu would be nice, or a help menu that tells you what each attribute adds
