Yeah the fact that you have limited time to collect resources before they disappear, eggs have small radius', no time at the end of the level to collect, AND you need to take your mouse off screen to use powerups is poor design. At least add hotkeys.

I may be late for Badge Of The Day strats, but I can still help you out in the early-game.
Your first penguins are gonna suck. No way around it. Make them both fighters though. Invest in speed boost Lv 3 when you can. You're basically looking to get to level 9 to grind. Penguin 3 should be armoured, skip fighter entirely. Invest in Bonus Penguin when you can, preferably armoured. Wreak havoc.

Why is a kingdom hearts song playing in the background? I mean the music is good and all but jesus it doesnt need to be that much music for what this game has!

I gave this game 1 star, years ago. Today, I stand by that rating! For a game that requires grinding for money, the way you designed acquiring it ruined this game! No radius for pick up, no instant pickup, extremely short time before money fades, and no delay at end of stage for cleanup. ALL are fails! Plus, the bombs are garbage since they have basically NO radius. Could have been a good (maybe even great) game, but you fell well short! 1/5

Your penguins are stupid and run into barriers. No explanation on what the various stats do. Mouse over to collect money is always bad. Miss. Miss. Miss. Miss. Miss. Miss. Miss. Miss. The game is basically pure luck with a lot of grinding and an idle simulator because you can't really control anything that happens. 2/5

Some tips for gritting through this mess: Buy the bonus penguin ability up to level 3 as soon as possible, since that tier 3 penguin can carry several levels on its own. Bombs are for killing shooters and enemies that have your penguins stuck on obstacles; penguins like to target the nearest uncloaked enemy after their current one dies, and do not give up until the new target dies, teleports, or cloaks. Get all of your penguins at least the first tier of gear so that you don't just see an infinite string of "Miss" from failed kills. P will pause if you need to stop collecting cash, move your mouse to the ability bar, and unpause to use the group heal.

@AuraStarfall: Yeah, I also noticed that the money grinding is weird in how some levels give more money than 5 levels later than it. As for the penguins being stupid, I think that's a purposeful game mechanic. They ARE penguins after all. I know this is an old game, but...
The progression is odd - level 30 nets twice as much money as level 37.
The controls are weird - the egg collecting (even with magnet) is annoying
The penguins are stupid - they keep running into walls

There's no reason why we shouldn't be able to have enough time to collect all the money we've earned at the end of each level, and the path-finding abilities of the penguins sucks ass

Ok, first of all I want to say that this game is awesome. The mechanics are like any other game, but tweaked just right so it's original. I love how you can find different penguin levels, and i'm currently trying to get one of each. However, sometimes the penguins do get stuck behind bushes. It gets a little annoying when i'm on the last turtle. Meh, the fourth turtle makes the game easy in the jungle!

These are the most inaccurate penguins in the world. It's not like turtles are known for their speed and evasion... Fully maxed army of penguins still whiff 75% of their attacks. What a fun game... 2/5

The best use of your bombs are to de-aggro penguins that are stuck walking into a wall. Bomb the turtle they are aggroed onto to maximise the penguin's use.

Personally, the game is ruined for me by the crap penguin target selection. It's not fun failing missions because your penguin will just continue to run into a wall for 30 seconds, it's frustrating.

no auto-collect at round end, even if you should be able to grab everything easy-peasy, so minus for that. otherwise, interesting idea. catchy music (arrange/cover), but props for included mute, just in case.

a tip for farming a lot of money: level 30 is the level where you can get the most amount of money, don't have your penguins to leveled up or they will kill the turtles to fast, my tip is to have 5 zombie penguins without using abilities. This way i got 15-17k every round. Good luck!

The only thing I can say I really appreciate about the (terrible) money-collecting system is that at least the more valuable eggs are larger, rather than smaller. And overall it's really the only major "challenge" the game provides you, since there's very limited strategy in terms of when/what you upgrade.
