It was a very good and well executed game, Honestly, I don't care what it was portraying..good or bad, it was a good game with good gameplay. 5/5

Adam, if you knew your history you would know that omaha beach, where you are at, was taken by the American army, not the british canadians irish polish or anyone else. Learn your facts before you call people out on it.

Well executed, interesting and meaningful game. I was put off at first by the narration, but it grew on me. I'd like to be able to view the cinematics again. A memorable 20 minutes is better spent time than the forgetable hours I've spent on lesser but longer games.

Good game. Thanks for having the nuts to stand behind your concept, produce it, and resist bowing to the PC police. Good-on-ya Xeptic!
btw: Since some people are being petty and obtuse about this, I think it is appropriate that I point out that I am Jewish.
Freedom of expression trumps hyper-sensitive whiners - period.
Now.... GAME ON!!!

Come on people, this isn't pro nazi. People in second world war fought eachother for something most of them did not believe. It doesn't matter why you're there - war is people vs peope, everyone there for a different cause. Citing Maiden: "For the passion, for the glory, for memories, for the money. You're a soldier for your country. What's the difference? All the same".
This game is about an event in world war II as it was lived by a man. And no, I'm not pro-nazi - hate that ideas - but when it comes to war, the only thing that matters in the end is trying to save your own life -and if you're a good man- save other's too.

isn't it getting old to make games about the 2nd world war? i know what i'm talking about cause i'm from germany and it sucks to compared to hitler. PLEASE creators: try something new, maybe u can earn a prize by making something completely innovative. and what about this druggy rainbow backround? do u think it looks like that when u are full of adrenaline? or should it just make look cute? oh war how cute <3 f*ck the game
keep alive
and bazel f-ck you, your comment sounds like nazis itself. throwi in a death camp and put to work... for not liking a game? sounds worse than nazis

It seems players are divided by this game into those with brains and those without. Should every German born in the last 70 years be offended by games from the typical American (and apparently the allies were only American, judging by video games) perspective? The premise is absolutely fine; to assert otherwise is national intolerance.

Very nice game. I just want to say so what if it's a pro nazi game? I'm not one myself but there are some many games where the basic objective is to kill nazis/germans

Exelent game, favorited, nice cinematics, kind of original in it's type, the lines are touching, and i like your excuse xD i don't find anithin ro-nazi in the game (anyway... it's could be a original idea to make a nazi vision of the war...) i really liked it 6/5

I think that it would be a little better if you had different battlezones, like, D-Day, then back all the way to paris or somthing, good game though, 5/5. Also, red beard, stop being a idiot, it's a flash game.

2 Points: 1.) He never said that it was Pro-Nazi (in fact, he said against it), and 2.) It's a game... he can make a game can't he?

Loci, I couldn't have put it better myself. You nailed the reason that I'm very, very pissed off at the people screaming "NAZI! PRO-NAZI GAME!!!" and those in RL who still discriminate against Germany for their history.

RedBeard: Ahhh, such ignorance. There has NEVER been a war about good an evil. WW2? Yes, Hitler, Mussolini (and Stalin) were all horrible dictators, and needed to be stopped (Stalin was an unfortunate mistake...). Have you ever read the terms of Versailles? Have you ever read about just how completely hopeless things were in Germany, a thousandfold worse than Depression-trodden America? They were sick of oppression, angry at the victors of WW1 for putting the blame on them, and they wanted a way out. Hitler gave them that opportunity. Arigold16: Actually, that argument works both ways. What about the common German soldier, the one fighting for his country, the one fighting so he and his family can have SOME hope of a better life? Contrary to what many people believe, WW2 was not "White hats vs. Black hats." Propoganda from WW2 promoting that still seems to have its effect. Simple fact was, the Allies weren't that much better than the Axis, if you look at both sides!

Goodwin's law
Also, am I going to point out that before Germany invaded Poland, German troops were fighting alongside British troops against the USSR.

Also remember that the Treaty of Versailles, written by the Allies following WW1, plunged Germany into such poverty that Hitler was able to use it as a springboard to start the second war - one he promised to lead to prosperity, jobs, food, etc etc etc. Without such terms in the treaty, maybe he wouldn't have come to power. I can't really say - I don't study history.

I'm personally surprised most game companies haven't had the nerve to make a world war two game based on the viewpoint of a nazi soldier (or maybe not, seeing as it wouldn't sell at all in America). Then again, the Americans weren't spotless in the war either, "good guys" or not. There were a few good people among the Axis, and a few bad among the Allies.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
discombobulator, you're an idiot. Allies killed nazis in order to free Europe and stop Hitler. Nazis killed Allies to hold onto the territory they had stolen and to allow the death camps to continue. The reason you fight matters.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
yeah the nazi's are bad dudes, but you have to remember that the germans in the army werent nazi's but simply soldiers, for the most part. The SS were nazis, but not so much cthe soldiers. Still it is sort of strange trying to kill the liberators, and also, as an american, your video game countrymen.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
wow what an incredibly boring game. just non-stop shooting, no variation nothing new except different units attacking. needs a lot of work imo
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
For those that think it's okay for allies to kill naziis and not the other way around... give your head a shake. Killing is killing. Games is games. It's one thing for soldiers killing soldiers, and another for people killing people that can't fight back (ie in the death camps).

jesus christ people, its a game, if you guys take some of the pointless flash games so seriously im surpised half of you arnt locked up or something, if you hate it then dont play it, I dont want to read how you think its making fun of americans, half of us need to be made fun of...*sigh* Ive always wanted to play as a german in this era,(no im not a neo nazi or supporter, ive just wanted to see what it was like...) this game sadly did not really suppress any of that but I wish there was a better game.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Oh, also (sorry for double comment), game DOES need a kill counter. Also, the only other thing I'd add would be more difficult waves (i.e. beach recedes, boats land on-screen and there's less time to shoot guys), and a wave counter.

Spe720: AntiTD is what I was referring to ;). Anyway, Anduril: the MG and Mortar weapons are intentionally the only weapons. They make the game easy enough - I lasted until day 15 until I just got bored (no cutscenes after the tanks show up or you kill 500). If there were other weapons, it'd make the game simply too easy (and even more unrealistic). Artillery would be a ramped-up version of mortars, that'd kill the game... any weapons other than the MG would either be useless (like many RPG games have) or overpowered (the BFGs that most games make satirical versons of, now, like miniguns or laser turrets).
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
the game is just not worth playing all you get is a machine gun, some morters, a little extra fire power the health is good but there just is too many enemies, not enough weapons
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
honestly i think playin as the nazi side is kinda bad but i think sum people r over reacting.
i enjoyed it 104 hours on my first try.

True that, ysheth. I've really liked games that go for the ironic position... such as TD games where YOU send in the invaders, games where YOU are the zombie (Sonny isn't the best example, because his being a zombie is just a plot element), games where, instead of being the hero, you're the antagonist. I like games like that, give a little variety.
