That game has something... Something to make it so highly addictive! Seriously, it's not hard, it doesnt have much to see... You just want to keep jumping! Awesome in a can 5/5

i thought this was an amazing game. it got rather repetitive after a few thousand points though... also, to all u people complaining about grapple, just dont hold the arrow key, if u time it, the grapple can like launch you so far and pretty high aswell. im lovin the background music also. if u make a sequel with less repetitiveness, and maybe different monsters or make it harder, i would easily give it 5/5... for now; 4/5. great game and good luck with the sequel!

JustBilly, the game was stolen yesterday and uploaded by some idiot. I contacted admins and they removed it from his account. Today I uploaded it by myself. That was not for the rating. :(

Hi guys! There is no game on Earth that can compete with Canabalt. It's simply the greatest. And I didn't even tried to. Canabalt established a new genre and I just wanted to make a new game in that genre. I've added to this concept a lot of stuff (shooting, double jump, grappling hook, shield, slowing down, speeding up, achievements) and was concentrated on making a game with more fun than tense. Canabalt has completely different feel. And I love it. And I just hope that players who likes runner games will enjoy Ninja Run as well. Cheers!

I liked it, but some of the gameplay was a bit annoying... the platforms sometimes weren't quite timed to the ninja's jumps. And grapple could fall a bit short... literally.

Quite of a challenge, I'm sure the majority of players would like this as it is easier than Canabalt. Could do with upgrades. 4/5

I find a weird sense of satisfaction in holding the right arrow key down and yelling "YOU CAN'T STOP THE ROCK, CAN'T STOP THE ROCK, YOU CAN'T STOP THE ROCK!"

if you run full speed and just spam throw ninja stars, you actually catch up to the stars and can run along at the same speed with them, creating a huge wall of death in front of you :D

Why are you praising Canabalt so much? It did NOT create its genre, just look at Dino Run, uploaded a year earlier and far more advanced than it or this.

Result: Make enemies stronger? How about a bestiary of enemies? A basic red one, shuriken one, 2-hit one, ignore stone skin one, speedy one, a ninja that can jump...possibilities are endless. Good game anyway. 4/5

ah i think this game is a bit overated, i didnt think it was that good but still it was definately not a bad game so 3/5 and don't hate me for sharing my opinion, thanks;)

Great game based off canabalt. but too easy. the shield thing makes it so you dont have to worry about enemies, do something like it only works a few seconds then has to recharge. Put a limit of number of ninja stars you can throw at once. Holding c creates a wall of ninja stars. And have the achievements do something rather than just be there.

dang it people, this game deserves more than a 3.62 average! This game makes you keep trying to get a higher score than the one you did on the last time!

Inspired from Canabalt is an understatement. Canabalt did manage to create a very cool atmosphere that made the game "feel" special. However it was missing a better goal management or achievement system to improve the replayability value, which is added here.
I always thought that Canabalt with a set of designed levels (rather than randomly generated) of increasing difficulty would be 10 times better.
One last thing is that the Flixel engine is just lagging badly for me, making this game unplayable on my laptop.

Tactic: Hold C, tap X as needed using -> to adjust your landing spot. Far too easy and boring because of this. Should be a limited amount of shield/speed available that recharges slowly while you're not using it.

This game is GREAT! My only suggestion is that to avoid repetitiveness you should make it so that the background scenery changes as you advance further and further.

It's nice that you not only acknowledge your inspiration, but provide a link to it as well. The game comes off with a different feel than Canabalt. In Canabalt, the tension comes from your one act: jump, whereas this game has more ways to approach problems. Comparing this with Canabalt is like comparing Sonic to Mario. Same genre, but vastly different approaches.

great game!!!!! too bad its so addicting though... been at it for a while now and still not in the top 100???? makes u think about the kind of ppl who are real addicts (top 2 are same guy
01. MrMakoret4294967295, 02. MrMakoret4294967295 (thanks u addict for spoiling the game for us and destroying all hope of getting a highscore))... still a good game though :P btw guys rating is supposed to be anonymous for games otherwise there wouldnt be a point in doing it! there would be a poll or something instead. ive seen 5 ppl so far rating 4/5 so i guess ill just do the same... which is exactly the problem! 5/5 cuz its addicting and was able to stop me from playing 3 diff games at once.

@choulokid-Those aren't cheap graphics, I'm pretty sure they're intentional. The whole game is inspired by canabalt, and I assume that includes the graphics. I don't know about canabalt though, maybe they thought it was nostalgic or something.

I was originally going to give this a 5/5, but knocked it down to a 4/5 for a couple of reasons. The grappling hook controls are very frustrating, and only seem to work well at all on high speed. Sometimes I double jump when I thought I had tagged the ground; very frustrating when you fall in a pit expecting to be able to double jump. This seemed especially true after grappling. Also, I found the game much more difficult running at normal speed versus high speed. This was mostly due to grappling, and not enemies - holding down C basically ensures you'll kill them all.

Way better, and more fun then canabalt, which wasn't even that fun in the first place (Don't rate down this comment just because I said that, it's only an opinion), but to further the level of fun, you could add Upgrades, Various Enemies, Bosses (You would still be running but the boss would stay at the edge of the screen until you killed it), Money, Shops (Maybe able to purchase items or different backgrounds/terrain types), Badges, Kong API Highscore, Beastiary (if you make various kinds of enemies), Unlockables, Levels/Experience, and maybe even a Multiplayer Mode. These are some features that keep players rating 5/5 and supporting your game. Do this on the next Ninja Run, and I assure you, you will get the Weekly, if not, Monthly prize. And you definitely deserve it for making such a wonderful game.

Canabalt, though good, was hardly the game to establish the 'Running Guy' Genre! Games like this have been around for many years, and Canabalt isn't the best, even among flash games on Kong- search around! However, Ninja Run is a nice addition to the set! Thanks for the fun game.

Keep going ninja! I believe in you! Don't stop now! You're almost there! I will never lose faith! Run! Go go go go go! Aww he just fell.

This is a plainly one of the best games on Kong, controls are spot on, a game that anyone could learn but only a pro could master, has all the right elements a ninja should have (usual stuff like fast running and stars but also has invincibility and a grappling hook) there were pros and cons to each speed, and the whole game was just thought outand put together so well it was an instant favorite from me, 5/5 but the grappling could use some work
