For everyone having trouble with Level 9 on Very Hard: I finally got it--it's just dumb luck. Target the heavy hitter in the middle first, obviously, but what you need is a big blue barrage early that stuns the snails a few times and adds more blue spheres early and quickly. It's a stacking effect. If you don't get that big jackpot early, just reset the level.

How are people beating Level 9 on Very Hard? Not having trouble with anything else, but I'm not even coming close there after over 30 tries.

I feel like this game has a lot of potential with the various units.. but for me, it feels like the original units and once you fill up each slot, every future additional unit is weaker than what I already have.. :/

SkylerFight's army can easy top 50 kills in gauntlet mode. All that you need to do is abuse the overcharge in the beginning about 5 times while the enemies are weak, then you have an army of regenerating beatsticks. Makes the hrd badge feel like an easy badge. (56 second try)

for gauntlet just pick yellow team (for heal), kill the highest attack and wait for a new popping while stunning the snails (remove auto mode), do not attack other players (low attack wont damage you much specially if you keep stunning the snails), your team will overload again and again and be more and more powerful.

I kind of like this game but soooooooooooooooo many times it loads and I only see part of the screen. What is up with that? Sometimes it comes up normal but I have to reload it 2 or 3 times to get there.
What is your browser zoom set to? If it's set to something other than 100% I think it will cause the game to get cut off since it's so wide. If that doesn't solve it, could you take a screenshot and PM me?

The healing ability of some yellow units only activates not when they are fully charged, but only when you attack with a full bar

so I used MAxxPowerCO's comment after grinding the whole game and i got a gauntlet score of 104 with ester charged with like 87 (last time i checked) before she dead form me not paying attention to the higher attack enemy attacking.

For hard badge, load up your team with the yellow healers, and your main character. The other two slots aren't really important. Basically make sure you turn off "auto" and don't kill any of the opponents with 1 or 2 attack. just keep letting your guys overcharge, and kill a unit who is about to attack for more than 2 damage. Also, if anyone is getting low on health use all of your healers attacks on the most dangerous enemy to heal up some. I got bored and quit at 40, all my units were at 10+ attack with Esther being at 28 damage. It took like 30 turns of me doing nothing for them to finally kill off my team. Hope this helps

Following SkylerFlight's advice, I got 50 kills in the Gauntlet. The key was going on manual and absolutely refusing to kill anything that did two or less damage.

this game could be alright if it was scrolled properly.. as at the moment i can't see 2nd row of enemy's bottom row of blobs in middle and part of my army details on upgrade screen, if it helps fix this issue i use google crome dunno if other browsers have same problem

Pretty fun game until you get to level 9 on hard or extra hard. I've played through it a few dozen times and I just can't seem to get past it regardless of the strategy that I'm using which is very frustrating.

The army members you win from winning battles should get significantly stronger as you defeat harder levels. Right now it feels like they're mostly the same.

at the gauntlet:
commander firebug
monitor guard
long john rabbiteer
spiny firebug
mall guard
esther bun
before the gauntlet, used such team, but boxers rabbiteer instead of spiny firebug and someone else instead of one of the goats.
using this team, waited for the game to begin with two enemies with 1 att and no piercing, also another guy with 2 att came with them.
killed only the enemies who spawned at the other positions (they respawn stronger, so those three were weak all the time and my team was good at defending against low attackers.
after some rounds, let my team overcharge sometimes to become stronger, always avoiding snails to progress and killing the enemies near their attack turn, accumulating points and overcharging until it was possible.
gave up at 32 kills, by letting them kill me

Huuuuuge improvement over the last one. It definitely feels like we have a lot more control here with manual attacks, army editing, and the opponents gaining charge in an entirely different way. You're definitely on the right track! 5/5

Difficulty to get an additional overcharge should increase with the number of overcharges already activated. I mean, I'm at gauntlet 60, I have overcharge 50-70 on everyone (enemies have 30 hp) and I could go on much longer if I didn't lose on purpose to end the game...

Tips for hard badge: Use the all Yellow team (nurse, orderly, doctor, esther, gunner, newbie) set up by SkylerFlight, with the higher health characters in front.
Turn off auto attack. When you fully charge your power, don't use them yet. Keep gathering yellow blocks to overcharge them from 1 to 5atk or whenever you feel strong enough. Heal whenever needed.
Kill enemies that have the most attack. Ignore the enemies with only 1 atk.
Use esther to attack enemy who counter attack when hit to increase esther's attack. My esther got to 24 before I got lazy to continue.

The fact that auto attacks go *before* opponent attacks, but manual attacks go *after* is quite annoying, but balanced I guess.

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong on the hard and very hard levels on stage 9. I can't get by either of them. Any hints anyone?

Thanks to advice from SkylerFlight and danbradster, I was able to achieve a score of over 200 in the gauntlet. The trick is to fill your overcharge as frequently as possible (I got Esther to 200 attack before she died). Don't kill enemies as soon as they appear. Wait for their charge to almost fill completely before attacking. If I were to make a change to the team, I would use the Earhead Mascot instead of the Gunner, because splash is not that useful.

In Level 13, an all blue team works great. That bunny makes blue tiles when it powers up. Turn off auto-attack and attack the guys in suits firs. Each time the bunny charges up, your team will also in the next turn or two.

Same tactics as SkylerFlight (thx). Made Gauntlet to 50, then gave up. Ester got up to 120 dmg by then, the rest over 30.

I generally hate games where your success or failure is either mostly or purely decided by the game's poorly balanced random generator, and this game is no exception.
This is the biggest problem for levels where your army is pre-determined, and you have no chance to win (3 stars) if your starting grid isn't in your favor.
That being said, everything else about the army, different characters, and easy to understand gameplay is very nice. It would be very nice to know HOW overpowered a unit is by showing a number on their portait, and a progress bar when I click to learn more.
2/5 for unbalanced gameplay. Sorry, but the player's skill should be a stronger factor in determining a win condition.

34 points on gauntlet. I think the characters are less important than stunning the snails effectively and targeting the right enemies to leave lots of 1-attack enemies in their lineup.

I like the way that there are a lot of people posting different gauntlet strategies. It shows that there are a lot of different tactics that work.

Fun game. I would prefer it if disabling "AUTO" didn't have the disadvantage that you can only attack at the beginning of your turn though. e.g. if I manage to fully charge one of my units, the enemy can attack before I get a chance to use it. This doesn't appear to be the case with AUTO enabled, where it attacks straight after it's charged.

37 kills in the gauntlet thanks to SkylerFlight:
"32 Kills in the Gauntlet for me. Start by completing every level in the main campaign (all of the very hard levels). An all firebug team worked wonders for me here (spotted x2, spiny, commander, pyro, inferno). Then I went into the Gauntlet with an all Yellow team (nurse, orderly, doctor, esther, gunner, newbie). In battle, focus on stunning as many snails as you can each turn. This will prevent the enemy from attacking and allow you to build up yellow blocks. Also, Turn off auto attack and fight strategically. Don't over-hit an enemy. ester got up to 16 damage before I lost. Hope this helps!"

Nice game you've made here, good job! Got 21 on the gauntlet with 3 healers in the back, 2 ragers in front along with an inferno firebug for quick finishing hits.
