Endless mode is also remarkably easy. Being able to earn stars in it and bring them over to the main game almost feels like cheating if it weren't so repetitive.

In Endless mode, obstacles are persistent. This is an issue for those triple boxes and tall cacti that you have to destroy to go through as they will still damage you. It's also annoying when you have the firework powerup and shoot an obstacle as the firework will keep spawning around the obstacle until it scrolls off, hindering your ability to shoot. Doing this can help kill if the enemy is in the right place.

A nice improvement on the last one. Tolerances on jumping over things used to be too close, now it's much micer. +1 star for that. -1 star for not properly supporting cinematic mode.

I have a lot of lag as well, but it is most likely due to using a laptop.
Has anybody found a way to drop the quality of the game? That should help with some of the lag issues people are having. If not, developer, can you implement something that can decrease the quality?

The objectives have too much health, and this makes the game boring. Especially the ones with the bank, where the objective is only onscreen for 10% of the time and the rest if just filler.

Yeah, after playing most of the way through on medium, I'm convinced the duck and cover mechanic ruins this game. The obstacles just aren't enough to be a threat, when I can hold down for 90% of the level and never, ever be hurt unless I miss a jump. I think all it would take to fix this game is making firing your gun take you out of cover -- some of the timing issue it would raise would be really fun -- but until then, it's kind of silly. Still love everything else about the game but I gotta give it a 2/5 with the overpowered defense. :|

The controls feel really laggy. I think you are doing something like this:
get control inputs
render
update postions
when you should do this:
get control inputs
update positions
render

Games a bit off for me, personally. Might just be in a bad mood, but going from easy to medium seems to quaddoubledruple the difficulty. I went from fighting two guys on the third mission to twentyfive at once + lawman + boss in the second.

Tip: El Muerto is the best, since the +damage really helps on later levels. I'd recommend at beginning dropping 1 or 2 stars into +$$, and if you're having trouble another star or so into health/reload. Then save up for gatling gun by playing easy levels. Once you've got the gatling, you can replay early levels on medium/hard difficulty for unlimited stars and cash. + so others can see

Nice game. Needed a little more though. More variety in missions and enemies and perhaps a little more weapons. Though what is in the game as is is fine.

Solid presentation and interesting idea, but it already gets boring after the second stage. Mainly because you can't move around and everything is reduced to shooting stuff and jumping every now and then. Upgrades are very basic and weapons all feel the same. Didn't like this one, but I'd love to see a more elaborated sequel. 3/5

Not bad overall, solid delivery, nice graphics. Gameplay got rather repetitive after a while though. More weapons would be nice, sound and music could use a little more variation.
