Just doubling the upgrade costs is not helping because the buying costs and upgrading costs are too expensive to make some progresses. The concept is charming, I think.

Hi! WOW I cannot believe how many plays we've gotten. Yes, this game is not complete; My partner and I wanted to scrap it but decided to post a half-assed game anyway hoping for about 100~ plays. We really didn't expect this much, but we really appreciate the amount of support some of the players have given us. We are very new developers, this is our first game, and for people like you that are giving supporting criticism we just wanted to say thank you.

It's a start. You should probably have developed it a bit further before publishing it. As things stand you hit a wall within just a few minutes where prices go up much faster than your income making it impossible to progress anywhere. Even disregarding that, there simply isn't all that much in the game yet.
For your own good, I will now tell you something of a harsh truth so that you can hopefully go on to be more successful in the future:
Even if you plan to update a game with more features, releasing it this early will get it a low rating from the early players, new players wont give it a shot because it's rated low, and the early players wont come back even when you update it because they already tried it and there was nothing to see.

no auto save, and if the tab isnt active, even in a different window, the game doesnt run. this is not an idle game.
