Bear it in mind this game was made in 9 days for the 9 Days Idle/Clicker Jam. Depending on how well received it is, I shall bring you new content regularly!

How to Play

They can be all found inside the game.
Also most interactions have a keyboard shortcut.

To delete your save and start over:
1. Refresh the game;
2. Click and hold Erase Save for the save slot you wish to delete.
3. You are free to start a new save now!

Hey guys! Sorry for the long time without any update. And no, this isnโ€™t an update as well :/
Nonetheless I should keep you guys informed of whatโ€™s going on. So here we go:

1. As many of you know Idle RPG was built for a game jam without the intent of making it a long game. It is also, technically, my first public game. With that said, the core of the game wasnโ€™t coded as tidy as it should be expected. With every update I released I tied to clean up the mess little by little until I reached a point where it requires me a lot of refactoring to get it done. Pretty much coding it down from zero. That led me toโ€ฆ

2. If Iโ€™m to code Idle RPG back from scratch I had a second option in mind. Why not work on Idle RPG 2 instead and get everything that was good from the first game and add to the second one while making the core of the game more stable and faster? I did discuss it a bit on Discord and it seemed that everyone also thought that way.

3. Iโ€™m fully aware of memory leaks happening to the game. I ran a couple of tests with a new project to find the source of the leaks and it turns out the fault is on the compiler itself. I got in touch with YYG and Iโ€™m hoping for them to fix it from their sides.

4. I finally realized YYG introduced variable definitions to GMS2 less than a year ago. I will dedicate some time to use those we wonโ€™t have problems with int32 (2.1b limit) anymore~

It gets tiring to put all your attribute points into stats later into the game, it'd be nice to have a 10x/100x button for this.

Would be nice if we could toggle auto upgrade all. This would simply upgrade the first avail stat from top to bottom. Or individually upgrade selected stats from top to bottom based on first avail.

The auto upgrade is good, but a priority order with the auto upgrade would be even better.

With how long ascension points take to earn, Do the skills really need to have both a scaling UP cost AND have diminishing returns?

Kill switch (for hero) would be nice, but on the other hand once you have auto repeats it won't be as necessary. Good work so far. Look forwards to further automation. Also, since it's an "idle" you really should try to make it work both offline to some degree, but more important when focus is not on window. Thanks for the game.
