Was fun until my players started to only attack themselves. It happened after I ran an echo map mod after a solid day of grinding. Sigh. Was good while it lasted.

Tier 3: Still pretty early but in hindsight I got the priority down now and which ones I like. Warmaster is handsdown the single biggest boon in the entire tier for the op buffs. Second best is probably the archmage because he adds another nice stacking dmg buff to the mix, followed by bloodmage who I only unlock for the ability to relieably drop my HP below 30% to benefit from the class passive and the berserker 40% ability, that his dmg abillity scales enormously with int is great too.
The most solid package standalone is the dragonlancer in my opinion, solid start of turn heal without self sabotage and the heal two for on shield combo.
Maybe when I get out of the early lineup I will be able to properly utilize a dedicated healer. The psion on perma wall to block enemy aoe damage seems like fun for example.

Tier II: Blademasters Trance plus the class trait of the alchemist got some nice synergy, ~30% chance for more than double damage.
Pyromancers Scorching Armor with Hunters Mark and physical attacks work wonders too if they are chained properly. I give the debuffer strength gear and chain manafree attack at the end.
All my chars got shield block HP>50% and no shield followed by lesser heal at HP<30%. For one dedicated healer to pick up them up to 50%+.
So far only Tier 2, I use squires slash for the most part because I can't properly manage mana in higher stages. At lower stages the rogue default skill shredds faster through.
I haven't found a way to use AOE mana efficient at my progress level.

Just a thought, but maybe the delver quest should be based on the enemy level instead of floors? Getting the same quest progress from clearing a level 1 and level 50 enemy floor is a bit odd.

Heretic's Death Strike is pretty useless. When I'm able to do 1k Dmg with it, I'd heal 50 HP and has very low base Dmg. That's nothing compared to the fact, that heretic himself has much more than 20k HP at that point....
I really think that skill needs to be buffed....

I'd like this game a lot more if you could tell your heroes to do things in a methodological, step-by-step manner. Instead of having to make my heroes focus exclusively on enemies with <30% health while aimlessly shooting at random targets, I would tell them that whenever they'd try attacking an enemy, they should hit the enemy with the least health. This lets me pick off enemies one by one, avoiding scenarios with swarms of low-HP enemies.

Really great concept, never seen something programmable like this before except maybe a final fantasy game. Having a great time. Request to allow that pop up with extra info to be moved to the middle of the screen or removed entirely and the info drop to the command line.
Thanks so much for the great game!

For an MP based game, this game has almost no items or skills to support MP management outside of horribly weak regen from amulets and just not using any MP consuming skills at all. Surely it's not intended that players only use free basic skills or return to town every time MP runs dry?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
No command to check if the hp/mp is higher than a percentage, no if self mp > 50% use [insert skill] or if ally hp < 75% heal

The MP system kills the fun for me. I much preferred the cooldown based system from the first game. I understand it adds a layer of "complexity" to the way you can program your skills, but being constantly out of MP and having to rely on 0MP skills forever makes it not fun.

Really cool game with a lot of potential. A few things:
- a bit slow progress (really long fights)
- upgrades doesn't feel like upgrade anything (+1 STR doesn't look like huge improvement)
- I don't really know how +1 Intelligence affects my damage. Maybe I didn't find it in tutorials.

Rynshy, I'm not sure what would cause that. I can only report that I am not currently experiencing the problem you describe. Maybe ask about it on their Discord server?

Been having issues the last couple of days getting the Rebirth passive 'Taskmaster' to work correctly(or at all). It is currently level 3 and i cannot get it to change my classes for me. This is semi frustrating as it is slowing down my rebirth times(going from lvl 2000 to lvl 2001 takes about as much time as the first 500 T1 Class levels, which nets me more AP overall)
I went from roughly 1-1.5M AP everyday(2 rebirths a day), to now i get ~2m AP every 2-3 days(one rebirth). This was not an issue at Level 2 Taskmaster, and am wondering if it will fix itself if I level it again.

You can also use Switch to cast a buff once per battle, but since that also has to be bought in the shop, it's an imperfect solution. It's been a while since I did the tutorial, and it's been updated since then, so I'm not sure if that information is covered there. Maybe a suggestion for Zero to implement?

@TheLowerLight Misc shop commands allow you to check self, ally, or enemy for specific buffs, first buy unlocks checks for t1 classes, second buy t2, 3rd buy t3 I believe

@blessedwrath and I was just answering your question, but at the same time pointing out that the only solution available requires a lot of effort, and there's no gain other than clean up (you also lose time you could have spent farming levels)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
how the hell do you cast buffs? I need a "if self is not buffed" command and I don't see it anywhere not even in the shop.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Brilliand, unless they changed it, the shop should give you a free Default Core if you run out of gold. I'm glad they thought of that, because the situation you describe would not only be completely possible...but also a game-ender.

I just started... ran out of maps, and now I can't do anything. Even if I had more maps, I don't see any way to progress beyond one guy repeatedly dying in basic maps.

Juuuuuuust asking a question, because I see that some of the components have been handled already. It's not worth getting snippy over. :D
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@blessedwrath if it matters that much to you, disable next fight, create map, abandon map. this will take a while to get through all 300 though... lotta clicking for something you can just ignore.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@lolerescut, that only works for drop-only cores/augs, as stated within the Kube itself. I'm referring specifically to the cores you can't use that way, such as the Default Core. I'm up to 360 of them now.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@blessedwrath yes you can go to krangle and put all unwanted special cores and augments in there for special reward but be careful not to reach 100 at krangle also makes sure you want to get rid of it before you do cause there is no turning back, krangle seems to only accept cores and augs that you cant find in shop

the ability to select a preferred class to switch to after all classes have reached the specified level for auto swapping would be great, and giving it preference for first swap could also speed things up a bit
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Any word on whether we'll be able to sell/scrap/etc unwanted Map Cores? I'm coming up on 300 Default Cores and I don't see a way to use them without acquiring more.

As much as I loved Endless Dream 1, I expected probably too much from this version. I get that in order to make a 2nd successful continuation, things need to be "changed" or upgraded to the next step. So far, I've found way too many things I miss from ED1 that made this version of the game a bit lackluster. Though I guess the saving grace is that the updates keep coming out.

Big fan of the Echoing Augment. With careful distribution of +Floors and +Fights augments, the increased chances to find Echoing Augments can potentially mean hours, even days of uninterrupted progress.
I'm looking forward to investigating all the new changes since I last played. Glad to see you're still at it, Zero. :D
