Ok, so I know the trick with the piano, but one of the numbers that I get following the rules is 53 which isn't on the keyboard, I've triple checked the counting so I'm not sure what to do

good game, the piano trick is not so tricky: when you have L/R you have to count notes from left/right. example R**|| is the 12° note from the right side, L***|||| is the 19° note from the left side, R || is the second note from the right side. I hope this is more clear than Darkus's comment :D

The Piano Trick:
Say the note says L4, L6 R6, R3, L11
That means that you play the notes in this order:
4 keys from the leftmost, 6 keys from the leftmost, 6 keys from the rightmost, and so on. The note however, contains not only the keys but numbers. So if the numbers were in a random order, say 3, 4, 1, 2, 5, then you play the third key mentioned first, fourth second, first third, second fourth, and fifth fifth. I hope this helps.
