I'm assuming that this is either the same dwarf as in Endeavor, or his father.
Really great game considering how much time you put into it.
Please make more games like this, platform adventure-style with a focus on exploration and item collection(Well, not so much with Summit as with Endeavor).

I love the mechanics of this game, and how it looks like a prequel to Endeavor. I hope you make more games featuring our little hero, or perhaps his future son. :)

Feels like a prequel to 'Endeavor'. It's amazing that you made this in only 48 hours. Graphics are well done enough to feel like art in a way. And it even has a plot, although it's short. I don't know if this was intended from the start as a prequel in spirit to 'Endeavor' or if the idea came to you to make Endeavor afterwards but either way, it's also pretty cool that a game made in 48 hours was made to be a prequel (intended or not). You even have wind blowing you to the side as you climb higher to the summit which adds a slight sense of reality (although the fact that you're a dwarf climbing a mountain without any hiking gear to get a magical rose brings you back to fantasy world). I can't tell if 'Summit' and 'Endeavor' are art games that take a new spin on the genre by adding adventure game qualities or adventure games that are just so intriguing and have such good graphics that they feel like art games, but either way 4/5 for me. My only complaint is I wish the plot was longer.

@leach: yes, yes you do know he's sleeping, that's what the Z's above his head mean. Granted, that does not mean he shall make a full recovery of that he wont die, but at the end, he is sleeping. Also @ whiny people: Of course it's slippery, it's a bloody ice covered mountain! would you like the guy to stick to the ground like glue?

this is the kind of story that epics are made of. mine goes something like this: he climbs up the mountain. he falls off the mountain. he climbs up again. he fall off again. he makes a rubbish attempt at climbing again. he falls off again. achillies, i am not

Making a game this good in 2 days has to be damn near impossible. Mine would have no elements of gameplay and definitely no art. It would just be a bunch of random squares. So this is amazing for only 2 days if you ask me. It has a plotline, good gameplay (though unpolished) and cool art and sounds.

Games that use arrow keys + Z/X, with no option to remap or use alternate, automatically lose points from me. The movement is too slippery and you have to constantly struggle with your character from not stopping. Lastly; he has the upper body stamina of a toddler, and yet he can jump many times his own height without breaking a sweat. 1/5

I like this game. Nice platformer and a very nice idea! I liked, that the ending is open, so everyone can make his own ending! 5/5
