Earth’s orbit is under siege. A swarm of space insects is pouring in from the dark, and you are the last fighter standing between them and the planet below.

Space Bugs is a fast arcade vertical space shooter built for one-more-try runs.

- Arcade: endless waves, mini-bosses and a high score to beat.
- Rogue: every run is different. Pick a new upgrade after each mini-boss and face a gauntlet of bosses.
- Story: a 10-level campaign with an epic boss at the end of each level.

Bolt on side cannons, homing missiles, orbs, ricochet blasters and arcblades. Trigger nukes, time slow, rapid fire and shields at the perfect moment. Dodge bullet patterns, blast meteors and take down multi-phase bosses: every bug that slips past you hits Earth.

Made by NP LABS. Ages 13+.

AI disclosure: mostly handmade. Generative AI was used only for mini-bosses, bosses, some tilesets, background objects and power-up icons, due to time constraints.

Mouse: move to fly your ship.
Click to fire; hold the button to charge a laser beam or a spread shot.
Collect power-ups and trigger them at the right moment.
Destroy the swarm before the bugs reach Earth: every bug that slips past damages the planet.
