Royal Wizard Chess 3D is a browser-based 3D chess game with a dark fantasy and gothic visual style. Play against another player on the same computer or challenge the computer across four selectable difficulty levels.

Rotate and zoom the 3D board, choose from multiple piece styles, and enjoy animated moves and captures. Standard chess rules apply, including castling, en passant, pawn promotion, check, checkmate, stalemate and draw conditions.

This game contains traditional chess gameplay and non-graphic animated chess-piece captures.

AI Transparency:
AI-assisted tools were used during development to help with portions of the programming, gameplay logic, UI text, localization, prototyping and procedural 3D piece design. All final game content was reviewed, edited, tested and integrated by the developer.

HOW TO PLAY — QUICK REFERENCE

Goal: Checkmate your opponent’s king.

Select a piece: Left-click one of your pieces.
Move: Click one of the highlighted legal squares.
Camera: Click and drag to rotate the board.
Zoom: Use the mouse wheel.
Reset view: Click Camera.
Flip board: Click Flip Board.

White moves first.

You can play against another person on the same computer or against the computer at four difficulty levels.

Standard chess rules apply, including castling, en passant, pawn promotion, check, checkmate, stalemate and draw conditions.
