TextRPG2 has been abandoned. A demo link can be found at http://megaswf.com/s/2534704/ if you wish to see how far I have gotten.
The engine itself is completed as far as I can remember (the only thing not implemented yet are dungeons, enchanters and crafting of items).
The code is written in AS2. I’m willing to let people use the engine on the basis that you keep me updated on the game and that the engine itself is not shared beyond that. If you’re interested you can leave me a shout.

Nice game, can't wait for the next one. And an idea for the new game, if you already beat the first one you can get a bonus to help you in the beginning. Like +5 on str. and int.. I hope the new one will be just as good as this one.

i found this game few days ago, and, im thrilled. I mean, like there is multimillion dollar companies, that can make less entertaining games with huge budjet, which all goes to graphical improvement, and yet simple text rpg does better work, because, it has nice gameplay. It maybe a bit repetitive for a while, but, i loved the story. 5/5 Bro, you rock!

TextRPG2 is progressing nicely again. I finished coding the quest engine, and am in the process of writing the first test quests. It's a bit hard, but I'm getting there - you have no idea how much storyline you suddenly have to write when you give the player free choice!

For all those who don’t have the collab thread in their favorites (and who would), TextRPG 2 is progressing nicely. Most of the code behind the scenes works, and I’m on my way to basic demo in a matter of DAYS. Hmm. I hereby PROMISE to deliver a demo THIS YEAR. DUN DUN DUUUUUUUN
