Plant crops, grow them, and sell them for money. There are upgrades to buy, and things to find. You can create and scavenge materials to craft items, or save up your money to buy them. Make or buy blocks and use them to build your own house however you like. Or you can equip your sword and go hunt enemies. Your character has needs (hunger/thirst/fatigue/sickness) that you need to manage by either scavenging in the procedural wilderness or growing supplies.

1. Heart Containers come from monsters. They're shaped like a heart. They're rare as shit, so go fight your butt off. 2. You need iron ore to build a tinker table. Then you can build a canteen. Fill it with snow in the winter, or water in the spring. 3. Each season is around 20 days. 4. Focus on upgrading your sword, axe and hammer. Monsters can't oneshot you if you 1 or 2 shot 'em first. Upgraded axe and hammer means you'll get tired less often. Upgraded water can waters more plots at once. 5. Easiest way to make gold is to sell upgraded weapons, but BE CAREFUL. As someone who lost all her ore from a glitch, ore gets extremely rare. I don't think they regen since dev made the maps not reset. 6. Keep extras of your tools and more than 1 pile of each material in case you lose something from a glitch or if you die.

When you have such limited space in your inventory, your armor really should be equipped in a different spot since you aren't holding it, but wearing it.
This is something I'd very much like to add, along with different gear with different effects. It's not really possible with the current engine, but I've talked about it on the sequel kickstarter.

Instead of the backpack being "openable" within the inventory, howbout have it expand the inventory? Either give us ^ v arrows, or a + sign at the end to access the expanded inventory. Game is great. Love the harvest moon style and feel. But the aspect that seems to be hurting the most is that most of the game thus far (and Im not even far in it yet =X) feels like an inventory managment game (which is no fun xD). 5/5 hope you continue updating it.
I've added bigger backpacks and crafting with items inside them. Hope that helps!

How do you equip the armor?
Food should stack. If I can stack up 25 saplings surely I can stack 10 carrots, berries, ect..
Armor is equipped when it's in your main inventory, no need to do anything else! You guys are relentless with the food stacking!! I'll see what I can do about it :) * Food now stacks

Suggestion: With pocket watch in inventory or backpack, display the time under the amount of money we have. Making us have to click it to view its time makes it almost pointless.
