IEH2 [ver. 4.1.4.1] A Massive Update After Three Years!
Hello! I’m a Japanese indie game creator Hitan.
Incremental Epic Hero 2 is finally back with a massive update on Kongregate, our first in three years!
The save/load system has been fully repaired, and we’re excited to continue updating IEH2 here on Kongregate. Thank you so much for your patience and for continuing to support our small, family-run team. It means the world to us.
[What’s New]
- Save/load system fixed: The issues that prevented us from updating the Kongregate version have been resolved.
- Three years of updates: Discover a huge amount of new content, improvements, and fixes.
- Expanded endgame: World Ascension Tier 3 (WA3) and many more endgame features await. Even after 1,000 hours, there’s still more to explore and accomplish!
We’re grateful to everyone who has played, shared feedback, and waited for this update. We’re delighted to bring IEH2 back to the Kongregate community, and we hope you enjoy everything this update has to offer!

In case anyone has any genuine interest in this game, or interest in achieving the badges: The dev team has confirmed in their discord that the Kong version is "unfortunately bricked" in terms of saving due to a "webGL for unity, hardcoded save file limit" issue. They seem to have no interest in spending the time to find a solution and instead are pushing their Steam version. This is why when you play for several days, export a save file, and when re-loading it, you've lost most of the progress. I also messaged Kong suggesting they remove the badges but knowing Kong, I doubt they will address anything.----Please upvote so people see this and know.----

There hasn't been any feedback from the developers since the first week of the issue. My question: Is there any work being done into fixing these old saves on Kongregate or will you only work on preventing this issue from occurring in future patches?

well this game is broken. It doesnt save where you left off no matter what you do. It keeps erasing about 15 to 20 minutes of play time each time I exit. The save option is broken. It has now happened about 5 times in a row. I was watching my skill progress on all the characters. The ones I maxed out where at 0 when I logged back on. Levels, quests, items, all gone.

Unreliable saving, with problems in quest progress, level progress, everything. This is unacceptable in an incremental game.

for an idle game, the progression when you close the game sucks, the quest doesn't progress at all, you can't even leave the game open and do other things because then the progress slows seriously.
