5. But wait! They actually have a slightly better version of the game, but also slightly laggier and only accessible through their profile. Why is it not updated here and how is Universe supposed to encourage people to go to the dev profile in the first place, instead of playing literally anything else with actual feel of progression and competition? What's holding the dev back so much and what do they get from all of this? Why won't they give people any more info? There's only one mysterious person who can tell.

4. The Universe menu itself isn't great either, there's 2 filters, newest and "chronology", a button to reset the checkmarks, and a page selection, where you input a number manually and press "go" to see 1 more game. Even for 2000s this a is design no dev would stick with, let alone 2013 with what might be 13 years of constant updates. A 2.5d "tower defense" with one enemy of 1 of 2 random properties speeding through a nearly straight track, where to put new towers you need to load a meter capped at 1 by damaging either of the said enemies, indicated by a small red pillar and barely visible green checkmark, about the same as healthbars. Towers that only have 2 properties and only one of them is only slightly different in damage, and you don't get enough range to stack them, and you can actually "lose" (softlock) by placing them out of range.

3. Top it off with the fact that MOST of the games involve luck in one way or another, either entirely or part time. Yeah, some people would enjoy watching an interactive roulette rng, but I have doubts that's a lot of people who would also go and play naval war or tetris in the same window. A match 3 tetris without diagonals, against a bot who can't win, and you're competing only for time and also can't lose. A space shooter with unecessarily elaborate controls where the enemies approach you to... spin and regenerate? And there's 7 of them each room, same pattern, 3 rooms, a boss, and repeat all of that 2 more times with enemies becoming tougher, complete bullet sponges, and you're just strafing around them, listening to random notes as if someone gave a kid a synth to keep them entertained for a while, right after playing a roulette, trying to get enough score at it as fast as possible, if you even knew that's the goal.

2. Now to the quality of the games, no matter what you say, no offense, they're actually just terrible. Some of them may have interesting concepts, treasure hunter is actually nice, some execute classic concepts properly, but that's about it. Starting with general, most notably graphics, they're very odd and experimental, and would be best described being about as poor as you can go in ms paint while still having distinguishable non-flat visuals, for an example in cubes it's 2.5d, with a blue half transparent grid on a noise background with blue colors, and on primarily black noise. Alright, it's one of the worse examples, you can get used to it, but usually there are at least some graphic issues in each game. Next, in none of the games you can lose, you can only go faster to get a smaller number that's considered a higher score, and that's the only goal, and there's only a kongregate scoreboard that tells you this.

1. I've replayed this and no longer want to be optimistic or soft. I have no clue who this developer is, but everything they're doing is very weird to say the least. It might be just a troll, or it might be actually some impressive personal experiments with engine or file size, or someone I'd rather not offend, sorry, but by the seems of it this has been going for far too long.
Let's start with the way the games are distributed. The Universe is getting updated daily, however that doesn't seem to actually be the case (at least for me, there's just 11 of their games), even with the other games, since nearly all of them released decades ago and are very simple. If I had to assume, it's for free advertisement, since Kongregate puts those on the frontpage. They seem to have a better version of the universe on their site, but it only links to those games on kongregate and is only linked on their profile. In 13 years they could've made an actual 24 in 1 and update it to kongregate for sure.
